Explorer Wednesday Briefing

Dear Chloe Clark Families,

We’re nine days into the school year, and what a fantastic start it has been! Our Explorers are settling into routines, making new friends, and showing kindness and curiosity in and out of the classroom. It’s such a joy to see our halls filled with smiles and laughter each day.

As fall weather arrives (we all know what that means here in the PNW), please send your child with a rain jacket and a change of clothes in their backpack. Soggy socks are no fun for learning!

A quick reminder about drop-off and pick-up:

Please park and wait for your child.
Vehicles should not remain in the single traffic lane, as this blocks others and could delay emergency vehicles. Thank you for helping us keep safety and efficiency a top priority for everyone.

We’ve had a great first couple of weeks, and I’m excited to see how our Explorers continue to grow. Let’s keep cheering them on as they develop good habits, stretch their brains, and support each other.

Please ensure your child has a change of clothes in their backpack in case of unforeseen accidents. Unfortunately, our nurse's office does not have enough extra clothing available for every student.
Field trip and PTA Recess takeovers are almost upon us! Make sure to fill out our volunteer application if you would like to help out. The application can be found by going to https://www.helpcounterweb.com/welcome/apply.php?district=steilacoom. Once the application has been filled out and approved it is good for two years.
