Trips Trips

Earlier this week a Year 6 class visited the Ledston Estate in Leeds. They met Barney the dog, took part in den building and camouflage-themed activities. A fabulous time was had by all.

Year 4 also had the opportunity to go to the Alhambra to watch The Lion, the Witch and Wardrobe. On both trips all pupils behaved exceptionally and were a credit to Low Ash.

Sporting Update Sporting Update

Another fantastic Benchball tournament at Hanson Academy took place last night.

Two teams competed and both did brilliantly, in such an exciting, intense, well organised tournament.

It was really nice to see parents on the sideline, supporting. Thank you and well done to all!

This week you will find a link to an article from Stephen Hall in relation to the drama series Adolescence, Incel culture, the manosphere and algorithms. Algorithms are one of the most important aspects to understand about modern-day online life as they are potentially a gateway to so much harm, potentially distorting beliefs or reality.

The article states "High profile TV dramas can spark debate, but debate without depth risks deepening stigma". If we are to educate our young people we need to know the facts, not the dramatisation.

It's a really interesting article which you can find below (note: this is a LinkedIn article).

We hope you all have a lovely weekend and we will see you all on Monday.
