Our Holiday Concert, originally scheduled for Thursday, December 3rd, has been rescheduled to Monday, December 14th.

We apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause and appreciate your flexibility and understanding. Please update your calendars accordingly.

This concert will still be at the Cross Church at 7pm and will be a major grade for choir members. We will share call times as we get closer to the date of the concert.

We look forward to celebrating the holiday season with you and sharing a wonderful evening of music!

All students selected for the Region 25 Honor Choir, Treble Choir, Tenor Bass Choir, and Mixed Choir should be in attendance on Tuesday, November 3rd's Region Rehearsal from 5:30-8:30 pm at Wylie High School. Plan to bring your binder, any supplemental music, a pencil, and water.

Next Saturday, November 7th, is the Region 25 Clinic and Concert hosted at Allen High School. Students should plan to arrive by 8:30am for rehearsal and bring their entire choir uniform for the evening performance in their garment bag. No snacks/drinks besides water are allowed in rehearsal and performance spaces at Allen High School, so please plan accordingly. Students will rehearse with their wonderful guest conductors throughout the day and be provided a delicious lunch from Wylie High School Booster Club. The concert will begin at 4pm at Allen High School Performing Arts Center and all family and friends are invited to attend and support.

Concession Stand Workers and Volunteers Concession Stand Workers and Volunteers

The Wylie Choir Booster Club manages the concession stand for many of the indoor sporting events in the Montgomery Center. Proceeds from the concessions provide a major portion of funds needed to support many of the choir events throughout the year. All proceeds from concession sales go toward major events, banquet, voice scholarships, and senior scholarships.

We need our awesome choir students and their parents to volunteer to work each event to make this happen. This is a great way to meet other choir families and support our wonderful choir program. There is an adult Stand Captain at each event to help things run smoothly. Choir students earn points each time they volunteer.

**Voice scholarship students will be announced soon, and every student who receives a scholarship is required to work the concession stand at least twice per year to pay it forward.

We prefer if our student volunteers are accompanied by a parent or adult volunteer, and all parent volunteers must have a WISD Background Check on file, completed every school year. Click here to complete the background check. Please sign up for a slot to support the Pirate Choir program!

Parents,

Are you overloaded by Parent Square? Please consider joining our Band App for parents. The Band App is a platform that behaves similar to social media and within the app we can create different groups to communicate with. We will create groups this year for several of the WHS Pirate Choirs as well.

The Parent group in the Band App will be a place where information will be shared but most importantly where you can ask questions about what is going on with in the department. We will still send information out in Parents Square but the parent group in the Band App might be and easier way to gather information or ask questions without wading through all the information in Parent Square.
