Changes to the ELA portion of the report card based on our new ELA curriculum

The document attached provides an update regarding ELA, the new curriculum we are using and reporting student mastery of grade level standards. We hope this helps as you view your child's report card next week.

Below, please find our Spring MCAS testing dates for our 3rd and 4th grade students

ELA

Grade 4 ELA MCAS: Monday, March 30, 2026 and Wednesday, April 1, 2026
Grade 3 ELA MCAS: Tuesday, April 7, 2026 and Thursday, April 9, 2026

Math

Grade 4 Math MCAS: Tuesday, May 5, 2026 and Thursday, May 7, 2026
Grade 3 Math MCAS: Tuesday, May 12, 2026 and Thursday, May 14, 2026

Help the DSA plan a new Ditson Celebration of Us - A community celebration of identities, traditions, and stories, a brand-new event celebrating the many cultures, traditions, and stories that make our school community so special! Families can share food, music, art, and customs from their heritage — and enjoy discovering the diverse backgrounds of their friends and neighbors. It’s a night of connection, curiosity, and pride as we celebrate what makes Ditson wonderfully unique!

The DSA is looking to host this family-oriented event in the spring but we need your help to pull it off! We need help planning and executing this new event. If you're interested, fill out this form and we'll be in touch soon.
