December News
Dear Families,
With the recent earthquake and tsunami warning a few days ago, I wanted to take a few minutes to discuss Emergency Preparedness. Your child’s safety is always our top priority. I want to take this opportunity to remind you of the important role we all play during emergency situations at school.
In the event of an emergency, our school follows established safety procedures that are carefully designed to protect our students and staff. We have a dedicated Safety Committee that meets regularly to ensure all staff members and students are well-prepared through training and drills.
Here’s how you can help us during an emergency:
Stay Patient and Calm – We understand emergencies can be stressful. Remaining calm helps us work quickly and effectively to manage the situation.
Wait for Official Communication – In an emergency, our school or district will share timely updates with you via email and text messages. Please avoid coming to the school unless instructed to do so, as this can interfere with emergency response efforts.
Trust Our Preparedness – Our staff regularly practices emergency procedures to ensure everyone knows their role. Your trust and cooperation are key to a safe and successful outcome.
Thank you for partnering with us to create a safe and supportive environment for all students. If you have any questions about our emergency plans, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Thank you,
Andrea Tapia
