PTA Weekly Update
September 16, 2024

November 3, 2025
Good morning Huskie Families,
Thank you so much to all the families that participated in the Charleston Wrap fundraiser. Together we raised over $4000 for Spring Brook! Prizes will be sent home with students in the coming weeks. We will also be drawing one student to win our giant plush speed snapper. Anyone who sold one or more items will be placed in the raffle. Thanks again for your support!
We are holding a breakfast and assembly to honor the veterans in our community next Tuesday, November 11. We're also in need volunteers to help with setup and tear down after the event. If you're available to help, please sign up here.
Don't forget to check out our website - it's a one-stop-shop for all things Spring Brook.
Have a good week!
Volunteers Needed for Veteran's Day Breakfast on 11/11
Spring Brook Elementary is proud of the Veterans in our school community. All students are welcome and encouraged to invite the Veterans in their families to join together for this inspiring annual breakfast and assembly, which will be held on Tuesday, November 11.
If you are not attending, you can still show your support for our very own Husky Heroes by helping with set-up for the event. We are in need of volunteers the day before the event to set up the decorations, and a few on the morning of the breakfast to help with set up and clean up. Please sign up here.
If you are interested in helping pickup/transport food, please contact Marissa Kopp.
Come to the K - 2 Reading Night on November 13
Community Relations
A Note from Our Community Relations Chair:
As the PTA looks for new ways to partner with the community to enrich the lives of our students, we are expanding our sponsorship program for events during the 2025-2026 school year.
If your family owns or is connected to a local business and is interested in sponsoring a Spring Brook event, please see the attached letter for more information or reach out to Ellen Muryan.
Coming Soon
Dough Raising: November 20 at Panera
Dough Raising Events are an opportunity to join with others in our Spring Brook Community for fun, food and a little fundraising. A portion of sales during these events are donated by our community partners to support the efforts of the Spring Brook Elementary PTA.
The next Dough Raising will be at the Panera by Showplace on 95th street on Thursday, November 20. Skip the stove and a sink full of dishes, grab dinner, and help support our school!
The Tile Project Starts Soon!
One of our favorite fundraising projects of the year, the Tile Project, is your child's opportunity to create art that will hang forever on the walls of Spring Brook. Encourage your child to leave their legacy by submitting a piece of artwork that will be printed on a ceramic tile and hung along the halls of the school. (Students love to walk throughout the school and find their tile art!)
Information on how to register and complete this fun project is coming soon!
Pre-Holiday Spirit Wear Sale
Coming soon: the latest Huskie spirit wear drop! The PTA will be opening the spirit wear store soon with hoodies, t-shirts, and so much more. Be sure and stay tuned if you're shopping for holiday gifts.
Volunteer Opportunities

Our Annual Veterans Day Breakfast and Assembly is just around the corner. If you are not attending, you can still show your support for our very own Husky Heroes by helping with set-up for the event. Multicultural Day on 12/5 - Volunteers Needed!
Would you like to showcase your home country at this year’s Springbrook Annual Multicultural Day on December 5th?
We’re looking for parent volunteers to share their culture by hosting a table featuring a game, craft, traditional activity, dance, or other unique element from their country of origin. In past years, we’ve had wonderful participation, with countries such as Honduras, Korea, Venezuela, the Philippines, and Israel represented in the school gymnasium during the day.
Students are always excited to explore the displays, learn about new traditions, and gain a deeper appreciation for the diverse cultures that make up our community.
In addition, students will have the opportunity to create heritage posters to celebrate their backgrounds. Poster submissions should be turned in before Thanksgiving break.
If you’re interested in showcasing a country or would like more details, please contact the event chair, Brea Khalid, at brea.khalid@outlook.com.
We look forward to another amazing Multicultural Day — thank you for helping make it a memorable event for our students!
