CUSTER SCHOOL DISTRICT TIDBITS
2026-27 School Calendar
FRIENDLY REMINDERS:
End-of-Year Checklist
Contact Updates: Please notify your child's school office of any address or phone changes to ensure report cards reach you.
Transcripts: Graduates must notify Mrs. Moore ASAP where to send official transcripts.
Returns: Return all library books and athletic uniforms immediately to avoid being billed.
Fees: Ensure all outstanding book fines are paid in full.
Lost & Found: Claim items from the Lost and Found before they are donated.
Summer Reading: Sign up for the Custer Co. Library summer program starting in June.
- Interesting facts: Teachers typically spend between four to six weeks re-teaching material that students have forgotten over the summer. Research shows that students who read more, read better; they also write better, spell better, have larger vocabularies, and have better control of complex grammatical constructions (Krashen, 2009).

Big News: Mrs. Cutlip Won A Trip To Disney! ✨
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that CES School Counselor, Briana Cutlip, has been selected for a very special honor! She will be participating in the Horace Mann + Disney sponsored workshop, “A Heart for Service in Education.” This exciting program is led by a Disney facilitator and focuses on "Service Excellence"—the secret sauce behind the Disney magic. Mrs. Cutlip will dive into ways to build even deeper connections with students, deliver purposeful moments in the classroom, and navigate "service recovery" with grace.
The best part? The workshop includes a hands-on field experience to see these concepts in action! Mrs. Cutlip will be traveling to Orlando, Florida, from May 10–12 to bring these world-class insights back to our school community. Please join us in giving a huge Congratulations to Mrs. Cutlip on this incredible opportunity!
