I hope you all had a great week and a restful weekend! As we look ahead, I would like to invite you to join us for Open House & Curriculum Night! Attend our schoolwide meeting, then go meet your child’s teacher to learn more about what your Panther will be learning this year! This is a great opportunity to hear how you can support their success at home. We look forward to welcoming our families and kicking off a strong year together! Doors will open at 5:15pm. We will begin with a schoolwide meeting at 5:30pm.

We’re excited to launch our new Park Street Dads & Dudes Club! We’re inviting dads, grandfathers, uncles, stepdads, big brothers, and other positive male role models to show up, pitch in, and make a difference at Park Street. From helping with car line and special events to Field Day, mentoring, building projects, and more, there will be lots of ways to get involved. We would love for you to join us, whether you can give an hour, a morning, or help throughout the year.

As part our goal to provide STRONG instruction, we will continue our beginning of year assessments throughout August in reading and math to ensure we know just what each child needs to learn this year! MAP Testing is coming up on May 25 & 26! Help your Panther do their best by making sure they get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive at school on time and ready to shine! ⭐

We know mornings can be hard and we are always happy to see our Panthers arrive, no matter the time! But, being at school on time helps us maximize every minute of our instructional day. Please help your child start the day STRONG by arriving before 8:30 a.m., ready to learn, grow and thrive!

The safety of our Panthers is always our top priority! We have noticed a few arrival practices that are creating safety concerns, particularly for our students and families who walk to school. Please help us keep everyone safe by following these reminders:

1. If your child is getting out of the car independently and you are not walking them to the door, please use the car rider line behind the school, where students can safely exit without traffic concerns. Please do not allow children to exit vehicles on the side of the road.

2. If you are parking and walking your child to the door, please use the parking lot at the top of the hill rather than stopping or parking along the side of the road or on Armstrong Street. If the upper lot is full, please use the large parking lot.

3. The bus area is for buses only. If you are arriving by car, please use the car rider line for student drop-off or park in the designated parking lot if you need to come into the office.

4. Please SLOW DOWN when driving in front of the school. We have many students and families walking in this area, and everyone’s attention and caution help keep our Panthers safe.

5. ** At dismissal if your walker is 8and under, please cross the street and pick them up at the building, not on the corner of Armstrong. Thank you!

Beginning August 17, Park Street panthers will have the opportunity to participate in the district’s Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP)! Through this program, all students can enjoy fresh fruits and vegetables during the school day. The FFVP is separate from our breakfast and lunch programs and is provided at no cost to students. Its goal is to introduce children to a variety of fruits and vegetables, encourage healthy choices, and provide additional nutrition throughout the school day. *Students can always choose not to try the option being offered.

We’re excited for our Panthers to taste, explore, and discover new healthy foods! 🍎🥕🥦🍓

Joining the Park Street PTA is one of the easiest ways to make a positive impact on our school community. Your membership helps support enriching programs, family events, teacher appreciation, and resources that directly benefit our students. Whether you have time to volunteer or simply want to show your support, every membership makes a difference. Together, we can create an even stronger school where every child and every family feels connected, supported, and celebrated.

The Marietta Youth Football League (MYFL), the official feeder program for Marietta High School Football, is currently looking for additional 5th grade players for the upcoming fall season!

MYFL provides young athletes with the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of football while building teamwork, confidence, discipline, and leadership in a fun and supportive environment.
