Dear Luce Road Families,

We are wrapping up an exciting first week of school at Luce Road! 🐾

It has been wonderful to see our students learning new routines, making new friends, exploring their classrooms, and beginning to build strong relationships with our staff and one another.

We are also excited to officially welcome our GSRP 4-Year-Old Preschoolers to Luce Road! We are so happy to have each of you as part of our Panther Cub family.

Our GSRP students will now begin their own two-week Adventure Camp, giving them opportunities to play, explore, build friendships, learn routines, interact with staff, and become comfortable in their new school environment.

For many of our students, this is the very beginning of their school experience, and we are honored to be part of that first step.

Kindergarten Adventure Camp Update 🐾

This week, our kindergarten students have had many opportunities to play, socialize, learn, and interact with all seven of our kindergarten teachers. Adventure Camp continues to give students time to become comfortable with different adults, classmates, routines, and learning spaces throughout Luce Road.

Students have also had the opportunity to make new friends, build confidence, and develop greater independence as they move through their day. Some students have experienced different groups and color teams, allowing our staff to observe students in a variety of settings and peer combinations.

Next week will be our final week of rotations. Students will continue participating in learning, play, and social activities with different classmates and teachers as our kindergarten team works to create balanced classroom communities.

Final classroom placements will be shared on Thursday.

Thank you to our families for your patience and support throughout Kindergarten Adventure Camp. We are excited about the relationships students are building and look forward to officially beginning the year with their classroom teachers!

GSRP Arrival & Dismissal Information

Parents and guardians, when dropping off your 4-year-old preschooler, please park your vehicle and walk your child down the left-hand side of the building toward the pavilion. Continue past the garbage cans and toward the courtyard.

Students will enter through Door 5 with one of our GSRP Associate Teachers between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.

If you arrive after 8:00 a.m., please bring your child to the main office for check-in.

Dismissal begins at 2:45 p.m.

This is how we "Take Chances, Make Mistakes, and Get Messy"! Starting our Big Journey down the adventure path to Kindergarten!

Please make sure you are calling the school by 1:00 p.m. to make changes to your students transportation routine, whether its a new person picking them up, switching between the CarLine and the Walk up Line, After Care and Bus. We need to know, before we place students in their dismissal lines. Please NOTE a BUS TAG takes priority over any other tags attached to your students back pack. Please make sure your student has the right tag on their backpacks: Letter BUS TAG, Orange WalkUp tag, Yellow Aftercare Tag, Purple DollarRide Tag or GREEN CarLine Tag. Let the office know if we have tag your student wrong.

Please make sure you send a change of clothes in for your student. Sometimes accidents happen and it’s helpful for them to have a change of clothes.

Please make sure ALL of your student’s belongings are labeled with their name! If it gets lost, staff will know who to return it to!

We offer before and after school child care for our K-5 students. This program is housed at Luce Road ECLC. Drop off begins at 6am for before school care and pick up for after school care is until 6pm.

Transportation is available in the morning to bus students from Luce Road to their appropriate schools and from their schools to Luce Road for after care.
