HHS Career and Technical Education
Quarterly Newsletter: Edition 1
Welcome Back HHS CTE!
What exactly is CTE?
Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses engage students and prepare them for high-wage, high-skill, high-demand careers. National research shows that students who take CTE courses report higher levels of engagement in their classes and higher graduation rates over students who do not take CTE classes (94% national average graduation rate for CTE concentrators vs 85% non CTE concentrator national average rate). CTE concentrators are also more likely than non concentrators to be employed full time and have higher median annual earnings 8 years after graduation! (Source: ACTE.org) CTE works for our high school students!

We're glad to have you follow along with us as we carry out the work of that mission this year!

Principles of Engineering students had the opportunity to present their product designs to Assistant Principal, Ms. Allen and Lead Educator, Mrs. Forino. The students did an excellent job of explaining their design and the real-world practical application of the design.
