Wear it again, love it again ! Less waste, more reuse, a greener school💚 Wear it again, love it again ! Less waste, more reuse, a greener school💚

  • School uniforms will be available to purchase on Thursday and Friday from 1.00pm at the main entrance.

  • We would greatly appreciate any donations of clean school uniforms that your child has outgrown. Your support helps us provide affordable uniforms for families within our school community.

School Uniform Policy Update School Uniform Policy Update

Following discussions between the Board of Management and the Parents Association, we are pleased to inform you that the Board has decided to extend the full-time wearing of the PE uniform to include 2nd Class from the next school year.

Therefore, from the 2026/27 school year, children in Infants, 1st Class and 2nd Class will wear their PE uniform on a full-time basis throughout the school week.

The school's Uniform Policy will be updated to reflect this change and will be shared with all parents in the new school year. As part of this review, there will also be an increased focus on ensuring that the correct school uniform is worn by all pupils in accordance with the school policy.

UNIFORM CHANGE

The Board of Management would also like to make parents aware that the school is currently exploring the possibility of introducing changes to the school uniform in the future. These discussions are at a very early stage, and no decisions have been made at this time. Children will continue to wear the current school uniform during the 2026/27 school year. However, as changes may be considered in subsequent years, we would encourage families, where possible, to make use of pre-loved uniforms and to continue the excellent practice of swapping and sharing uniform items with other families within the school community.

We hope this change to the uniform will provide greater comfort and convenience for children and families, while also supporting a practical and sustainable approach to school uniforms.

School Tour Week - A Great Success! School Tour Week - A Great Success!

All classes enjoyed their much-anticipated school tours, with visits to Trim Play Centre and Trim Castle, Navan Adventure Centre, Causey Farm, Croke Park and Jump Zone, Emerald Park, and Flynn Park. The phrase heard most often throughout the week was, “Best tour ever!”

From paintballing and water activities at Flynn Park, to thrilling rides at Emerald Park, exciting adventures at Causey Farm, and a behind-the-scenes tour of Croke Park followed by fun at Jump Zone, there was something for everyone. Our younger pupils had a wonderful time at Navan Adventure Centre and Trim Play Centre, enjoying a variety of activities, games and outdoor fun. The tours were filled with laughter, friendship and memorable experiences, and a fantastic time was had by all.

A sincere thank you to our class teachers for organising such wonderful tours and activities for the children. We would also like to thank Sharon in the office for coordinating transport arrangements for everyone, and our fantastic SNAs and SET teachers for accompanying the classes and helping to make each day so enjoyable and successful.

Vigil Mass at Dangan Church Vigil Mass at Dangan Church

All pupils and parents are warmly invited to attend the Vigil Mass on Saturday, 13th June at 7:30pm.

Fr Martin would like to extend a special invitation to all families to join the parish community for this celebration. He looks forward to seeing many of our pupils and their families there.

Student Fun Day 2026 for our School Walking Path! Student Fun Day 2026 for our School Walking Path!

Last Friday, our 6th Class pupils took charge of organising and running a wonderful day of activities for the entire school. With great enthusiasm and responsibility, they planned a range of fun stations that each class visited throughout the day. The school was filled with excitement and laughter as pupils moved from station to station, enjoying the wide variety of activities on offer. The jumble sale proved especially popular, with children delighted to browse, choose, and purchase their treasures!

A sincere thank you to Ms. Duffy for her excellent organisation and support in ensuring the day ran so successfully. We are also incredibly proud of our 6th Class students, whose hard work, leadership, and commitment helped create such a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Thanks to the generosity of our school community, the jumble sale, together with the €5 participation fee collected through Aladdin, raised an astounding €2,021.20. This fantastic amount will go directly towards the completion of our walking path project and brings us significantly closer to achieving this important goal.

Thank you to all our parents for your generous donations to the jumble sale and for supporting your child's participation in the event. Your continued support is greatly appreciated and helps make days like this such a success. We are fortunate to have such a supportive and engaged school community!

School Jerseys

We are currently missing a small number of school jerseys that were used by pupils representing the school at sporting events throughout the year.

We would greatly appreciate it if parents could ask their children to check at home this evening to see if any school jerseys have been accidentally kept. If found, please return them to the school as soon as possible so they are available for future teams.

Thank you for your assistance and cooperation.

Attendance Attendance

Data published by Tusla Education Support Services (TESS) shows that one in five children in primary and post-primary school are missing a month or more of their school year. The 2023/24 report indicates that while non-attendance is decreasing it is still significantly greater than pre-pandemic levels.

Our Statement of Attendance Strategy reflects the school’s strong commitment to encouraging regular attendance as an important part of our ethos and policy. Good attendance helps children to become fully involved in all aspects of school life, and we encourage both parents and pupils to give attendance a high priority. Please find our School Attendance Strategy here on the school website.
