Last week the game times for six of our football games were announced, including the home opener versus Rhode Island on Sept. 5 (2 pm) and Penn State on Sept. 12 (12 pm). Season tickets are still available by visiting owlstix.com or calling 215-204-8499.

I am honored to share that our student-athletes achieved a combined 3.48 GPA during the spring 2026 semester, raising their cumulative GPA to 3.50 — marking the 29th consecutive semester our student-athletes have earned a combined GPA of 3.0 or higher, and the ninth straight at 3.25 or above.

As we celebrate 97 graduates from the 2025-26 academic year — representing more than 20 states, over 10 countries, and degrees across 40-plus majors — these results are a testament to the dedication of our student-athletes, coaches, Temple's great faculty, and the amazing staff of the Nancy & Donald Resnick Academic Support Center led by Tara Evans and supported by the Provost's Office.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Temple Takeover at Wissahickon Brewery on Monday of last week — your energy and support mean everything to us! We love hearing your enthusiasm and passion and look to cheering on the Owls together this fall.

Our Women's Rowing program had a dominant performance at the 2026 Dad Vail Regatta, claiming the Women's Points Trophy — awarded to the best overall team performance at the regatta — for the first time since 2019 under Head Coach Rebecca Grzybowski. With four boats finishing on the podium, including a gold medal by the second varsity eight, the Owls showed just how deep and talented this program has become. Congratulations Coach Grzybowski and all of Temple Rowing!

Congratulations are in order for Head Coach Brendan Cunningham and our men's crew program. Following their performance in Sacramento at the IRA Nationals, the team finished the year ranked 19th - the second consecutive year in the top 20. This is a tremendous accomplishment and one to build on in the future.

What a sendoff for three outstanding Owls — attacker Lexi Culp, goalkeeper Riley Horoshko, and defender Kaitlyn Stankavage have all been named to the IWLCA Division I Senior All-Star Team, with Horoshko making history as the first Temple player ever to earn American Conference Goalkeeper of the Year honors. Former Temple linebacker Tyler Matakevich has been added to the 2027 College Football Hall of Fame ballot, and a successful campaign would make him only the second Owl player ever enshrined, joining running back Paul Palmer. Coach Fisher and Coach Richardson and their staffs have been hard at work this spring to develop their respective rosters. While they begin summer workouts, this is a great reminder that we want you with us every step of the way this season! Men's and women's basketball season tickets are now on sale, and there is no better way to experience the energy of Temple Basketball than from your seat in the Liacouras Center.
