π¬ A Message from the Principal
Dear Arnett Hills Families,
Thank you to all who joined us for Parent-Teacher Conferences on September 17, where we discussed your students progress in classroom, iReady data, and VALLSS data. Your support makes a real difference in your childβs success. When families and schools work together, students shine.
One of the best ways to keep them on track is daily attendance. As the saying goes, βEvery day counts, because every day is a chance to learn and grow.β
We are so grateful for your partnership and look forward to seeing you at future events as we continue to inspire, empower, and lead our Gators to greatness. β€οΈ
With gratitude,
Cherita Williams, Ed.S.
Proud Principal

Literacy At Home- Family Tips
π 1. Family Reading Time
Set aside 15β20 minutes each day to read together as a family. Let children choose books that interest them!
π 2. Storytelling & Journaling
Encourage kids to write their own short stories or keep a daily journal. Family members can take turns sharing stories, real or imagined.
π€ 3. Word Games
Play games like Scrabble, Boggle, or sight word bingo. These build vocabulary and spelling skills while keeping it fun!
πΆ 4. Sing Songs & Read Lyrics
Sing along to childrenβs songs or nursery rhymes and read the lyrics together. It builds word recognition and rhythm awareness.
π 5. Literacy on the Go
Read signs, menus, and labels while out running errands. Ask children to help βread the worldβ around them.
