Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Present: A Week of Wolfpack Victories
This past week was one of the most memorable in recent Wolfpack history, as our school community came together to celebrate excellence, honor tradition, and showcase the unmatched energy of our students.
The festivities began with a week of activities and spirited dress-up days. From creative outfits to grade level pride, the enthusiasm and imagination on campus made for an atmosphere filled with fun!
The excitement reached a high point at the Homecoming Rally, where students were treated to incredible performances from the GOHS Dance Collective, Step Team, Ohana/Haka, Color Guard, and Cheer. The rally also featured interactive games, spirited competitions, and plenty of prizes, ensuring that every student felt a part of the celebration.
On Thursday night, we had the privilege of honoring nine extraordinary individuals at the Inaugural Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Athletes, administrators, and coaches were recognized for their lasting contributions to our school and the Wolfpack legacy. Their stories of perseverance, leadership, and achievement continue to inspire current students and remind us of the impact that dedication and passion can have both on and off the field.
The following evening, our varsity football team delivered an unforgettable performance in the Homecoming Game, securing a hard-fought victory against a formidable San Pedro team. The win ignited school spirit across the campus and set the tone for a weekend of unity and pride.
The celebration culminated with the Homecoming Dance, which welcomed over 2,300 students — one of the largest gatherings in school history. Students enjoyed an evening filled with rides, games, music, and food, creating memories that will last well beyond high school. The energy, laughter, and camaraderie on display were a true reflection of the Wolfpack spirit.
As we reflect on this extraordinary week, we are reminded of the power of tradition, the importance of community, and the bright future that lies ahead. From celebrating those who paved the way to cheering on today’s students as they create their own legacies, it was a time to be proud to be part of the Wolfpack family.

Handbook Highlights: Academic Integrity @ GOHS
Honesty is valued at Great Oak High School and is an attribute of INTEGRITY, one of our guiding principles in the SPIRIT of the PACK. We believe it is a fundamental obligation to promote, model, and otherwise educate students about the importance of this basic character value. Cheating of any kind while completing course requirements (e.g., taking examinations, completing term papers, projects, and assignments) is a violation of the high standard of behavior we strive to maintain. Many people think of Academic Dishonesty as copying another’s work or borrowing someone else’s original ideas, but terms like “copying” and “borrowing” can disguise the seriousness of the offense. The intent of this policy is to encourage honesty and ethical conduct throughout the campus.
