We are excited to return to another great school year here at George C. Clarke Elementary. Cougar Staff is looking forward to having all our students back!

As you plan and prepare to send your students back to school, here is some helpful information.

Meet The Teacher Night

We will be having our Meet The Teacher Night on Thursday, August 10th from 4:30-6:00.

First Day of School

The first day of school is August 14th. Parents will be able to walk their children to their class on the first day of school. Please note that this is only for the first day of school. Students will walk on their own beginning the second day of school where friendly staff will be waiting for them!

Other Important Information

• Doors open at 7:40. Students will be greeted at the door. Instruction begins at 7:50.

• Pre-K Dismissal: 2:30

• Kinder-5th Dismissal: 3:20

• NEW- 3rd-5th graders will be dismissed on Orange

• NEW- K-2nd graders will be dismissed at the front of the school on Shaw

• Students must wear their uniforms. They may wear their Cougar T-Shirts or Disney/Pixar themed shirts every Friday. Our school theme is: “I am resilient, and that makes me unstoppable.”

• We will have fun family events. Family calendar coming soon!

• Parent visits during lunchtimes will begin Monday, September 25th.

Primer dia de escuela

Students will be able to enter through the front main entrance door (Shaw) or the back door by the cafeteria (Orange).

Lunchtime Guidelines for George C. Clarke

• Check in at the main office before heading to the cafeteria.

• Only 2 adults per student to ensure there is enough space for families.

• Follow beginning and end times for lunch to make space for the next families coming in.

• No cell phones- please note that technology is only allowed at George C. Clarke for instructional purposes.

One of our core values at George C. Clarke is kindness. Please ensure that your language with students, staff, and other parents is respectful so that we can model this to our students. We appreciate your support as we strive to make George C. Clarke the best school possible.

*Small siblings should sit with their parents at all times. Also, any siblings that attend FWISD schools and are absent for the day should remain at home and not be brought for lunch.*
