Principal's Corner
Dear Hirsch Hawk Parents and Guardians,
Next week, we are excited to kick off Camp Write-a-Lot—our week-long journey of fun, engagement, and learning as we count down to STAAR! Our campus will be filled with energy, creativity, and purpose as we prepare our students to show just how high they can SOAR.
We are officially 10 school days away from STAAR, and this is our moment to come together as a school community and push toward our goal of moving from a C to an A rating. Our students are working hard, and we are building excitement and confidence each day.
A huge thank you to our incredible parent volunteers who helped decorate our halls and bring this experience to life. Your support is helping us create a joyful and motivating environment for our scholars!
Each testing grade level will have its own theme for the week:
- 3rd Grade: Catch the STAAR Wave (Beach Theme)
- 4th Grade: Blast Off to STAAR Mastery (Outer Space Theme)
- 5th Grade: Wild About STAAR Success (Wilderness Theme)
Students will also have the opportunity to participate in themed dress-up days throughout the week—please see the information below for details specific to your child’s grade level.
As we enter this final stretch, we need everyone’s support. Moving our campus to an A will take all of us—students, staff, and families—working together. One way we are supporting students is by opening Saturday School to all STAAR testers to strengthen their skills and build confidence.
Saturday School Dates:
- April 11
- April 18
Time: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity and partner with us in this final push. Ensure your child is at school each day, on time, and ready to learn.
Together, we can make this happen. Let’s finish strong and show everyone what Hirsch Elementary is capable of!
With appreciation,
Principal Patterson

Hirsch Yearbook
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to begin preparing this year's school yearbook, which celebrates the memories and achievements of our students.
In order for your child's photograph to be included in the yearbook, we must have permission on file in accordance with FERPA guidelines. Specifically, you will need to select the FERPA option indicating that it is acceptable for your child's image and nae to be used in school publications, including the yearbook.
If you would like your child to appear in the yearbook, please select the option below allowing the use of your child's photograph for school related purposes.
Please complete this selection by Monday, April 6. If this selection is not made by the deadline, we will be unable to include your child's phot on the yearbook.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter and for helping us make this year's yearbook a wonderful keepsake for all students.

SHOUT OUT to 3rd Grade for having the highest attendance for two weeks in a row. The Week of 2/23/2026 their attendance was 97% and the week of 3/2/2026 their attendance was 98%.
