Cimarron Middle School is proud to host our annual Veterans Day Celebration as we come together to honor and recognize the veterans in our community. We invite all Cimarron veterans and their families to join us for this special celebration. The event will last approximately 45 minutes, followed by a reception for our veterans immediately after the ceremony.

We look forward to coming together as a school community to recognize, celebrate, and thank the veterans who have served our country.

Our first school dance taking place next Friday, November 13th from 3:30-5:30. Students are still expected to leave the school building at 3:10 before being let back inside at 3:30. Tickets will be on sale for $5 during lunch time next week.

Cimarron’s Interact Club is raising money for Colorado Puppy Rescue, and YOU get to help decide which teacher takes the stage!

Donate to cast your vote for your favorite volunteer teacher. Every donation counts as a vote, and the teacher with the most votes will face the music in an epic LIP SYNC BATTLE at lunch! 🎶🏆

Cimarron’s annual Turkey Drive is coming up! We will be collecting frozen turkeys in Mr. Zimmerman and Mr. Fitch’s trucks in the front of the building during morning student drop off on Tuesday, November 17th and Wednesday, November 18th. Please put a note on your frozen turkey with your student’s team name on it, ie. Aztec, Lipizzan, Palomino, etc. as these donations will count towards spirit stick points at the 2nd quarter Be RED Assembly! Thank you in advance for your donation. All frozen turkeys will support local families in need through the Parker Task Force.

In an effort to show our appreciation for our outstanding staff, we are launching an initiative to provide them with tokens of gratitude throughout the year. These tokens, though small, carry a significant impact in letting our staff know that their hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed. To achieve this, we have created an Amazon Wish List filled with a variety of small thank-you gifts that our staff members would greatly appreciate. These gifts will be given out as tokens of appreciation to those who consistently go the extra mile for our students.

We need gift cards! Please support our students by bringing in $5 gift cards to vendors like Chipotle, Target, Fika, McDonalds, Starbucks, Canes, Five Below, etc. You can drop off your donations in the main office. These gift cards go to students who are displaying great behavior and working hard! Thanks!

The 2026 Career Path EXPO is sponsored by DCSD’s District Accountability Committee (DAC) and the Foundation for Douglas County Schools.

The Expo will highlight the wide range of Postsecondary Readiness opportunities offered at each of our DCSD high schools and available to students across the district, including:

• Career and Technical Education

• Concurrent Enrollment

• Work-Based Learning

Hear from students and teachers as they share how these programs help prepare students for future success.

The event will open at 6:30 p.m., but attendees are welcome to arrive at any time to explore all that Postsecondary Readiness has to offer.
