Carlton Area Development Corporation Receives $8,000 Pledge from Woodlands National Bank for South Terrace Courts
Carlton, MN – The Carlton Area Development Corporation (CADC) is proud to announce a generous $8,000 pledge from Woodlands National Bank to support the construction of new tennis and pickleball courts at South Terrace in Carlton.
As a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting recreation, health, and education in the community, CADC is thrilled to receive this vital support. The South Terrace Courts project aims to enhance recreational opportunities for residents of all ages, encouraging active lifestyles and community connection.
The total cost for the construction of the courts is estimated at $100,000. The contribution from Woodlands National Bank marks a significant step toward making this project a reality. Additionally, Woodlands National Bank is the first to secure permanent naming rights for one of the five courts—four pickleball and one tennis—that will be named through community sponsorship. Naming rights will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and the CADC board is actively seeking support from additional businesses and individuals to secure naming rights and provide donations or sponsorships.
“We’re honored to be the first to secure naming rights for one of the South Terrace Courts, and we’re proud to stand behind the CADC and this exciting project. With pickleball’s popularity soaring, supporting this effort felt like a no-brainer. These courts will serve as a lasting asset to the community, and we’re thrilled to help pave the way, literally and figuratively, for more opportunities to bring people together to play, connect, and stay active,” said Shanna Wolf, Commercial Portfolio Manager, Woodlands National Bank.
“We are incredibly grateful to Woodlands National Bank for their commitment to our community,” said Carol Conway, City of Carlton/CADC Board Member. “Their support brings us closer to providing a much-needed recreational space that will benefit families, students, and active individuals in Carlton and the surrounding area for years to come.”
CADC encourages other supporters to act fast and secure their court before they’re gone. Community members and organizations are also invited to consider other ways to contribute to the South Terrace Courts project.
