MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
CHS Community,
Not much to say when we only have two days of school this week! Despite the short week, I have a few important updates below.
Several of you reached out concerning "Blizzard Bags." I was not anticipating three consecutive calamity days so quickly, but because we hit our sixth calamity day, we assigned "Blizzard Bags."
To answer the most common question: Your child has one week to complete the activity. Please also note that should we have another calamity day in the near future, teachers will assign Blizzard Bags again.
Positive Note from a Referee shared from Mr. Higham:
Good morning Doug
Those ladies at your scorers table were so very nice and so very fun. Refereeing is the only hobby I have left with my work schedule at the funeral home and people like that make my day, so please let them know I thought they were amazing.
Both coaches were great too - more calls were blown that went against your coach and he was so very understanding knowing what South was basically playing with a freshman squad. Most coaches would explode and he was very kind to us all night. And finally, but in this day and age most importantly, all the kids were very polite and respectful as usual for your school.
Thanks for making my night enjoyable and thank you for the drinks at halftime. Officiating at Chardon has always been a place I enjoy being assigned to work. (Now if we could just get you a new building)
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Our final conference night of the year is February 12. If your student has not made satisfactory progress in a course, please prioritize scheduling a conference with their teacher for that evening. The link to conference sign up is posted below.
Stay warm,
Mr. Tomco
CHS STUDENT COUNCIL
