Dental Clinic at Chute Middle School

PLEASE NOTE: RESCHEDULED DATE FOR DENTAL CLINIC

District 65 is hosting a free Dental Clinic on Thursday, January 23 for Chute Middle School students. Preferred Dentistry will perform a dental screening, cleaning, application of fluoride, and placement of sealants.

If you choose to participate in the Dental Clinic, all Dental Permission Slips must be returned to Chute Middle School by Friday, January 17th, if you want your child to receive the dental services.

If your child has not had a 6th grade dental exam, this will complete the requirement. This will also complete the 9th grade requirement for 8th graders.

PLEASE NOTE: If we have less than 40 participants, Preferred Dentistry will cancel the dental clinic at Chute.

Any questions, please contact the school nurse, Ana Rivera-Escobar, at 847-859-8608.

Winter: Before School & Recess Updates

As we navigate the Winter season here are a few updates regarding students arriving before school as well as recess procedures.

Before School:

ALL Students will need to enter through door 2 by the main office/auditorium. Doors open at 7:30 AM but if you arrive a bit earlier, use the main office entrance to have someone let you in. From there students will go to the breezeway. At 7:50 AM students will transition to their lockers and head to class. First period begins at 8:00 AM.

Indoor/Outdoor Recess:

An announcement will be made during 4th period letting all students know if we are indoor, outdoor, or optional for recess each day. Students can also join the Lunchtime Recess Weather Report google classroom, class code available in the cafeteria. This decision is made using the Child Care Weather Watch provided below. As students are going to lunch, they will be reminded by their lockers on the options.

  1. Indoor: All students will be in the lunchroom and will have the opportunity to bring their iPad.
  2. Outdoor: All students will be going out for recess with their winter clothing.
  3. Optional: Students can choose between staying inside or going outside with their winter clothing.
