Here are a few reminders, updates, and announcements:

• Please remind students to bring their chromebooks to school fully charged every day.
  
  
• Wednesday, December 20 - Holiday Party - We will have a class holiday party tomorrow. If you would like to donate treats, snacks or money towards the purchase of the pizza, you can send your donation to school with your child tomorrow. We have 24 students. All donations are voluntary.
  
  
• Thursday, December 21 - Early Dismissal at 11:55 am (No school on Friday, Dec. 22)
  
  
• Homework this week has been shortened so that it can be turned in this Thursday, Dec. 21.
  
  
• Holiday Break - (No School) Friday, December 22 to Friday, January 5, 2024. School resumes on Monday, January 8, 2024.
  

Reading: Non Fiction Reading Comprehension Strategies

Writing: Drafting expository (informational) writing on biomes

Math: Reveiw and Quiz on Adding and Subtracting Decimals

IB Unit of Study: Students are creating food webs on the biome that they are researching.

Social Studies - Early English Settlements: We will explore the challenges that were faced by early English settlements including Roanoke, Jamestown, and Plymouth.

Science: Transfer of energy in ecosystems and biomes; food chains and food webs
