Dear Edmondson Families,

Thank you for coming out to support students with the Stallion Stampede and for our fall parade - we hope that you can make it to our PTO-sponsored Family Halloween party from 5:30-7:00pm this evening.

We need your help keeping our school safe. Moving forward, we will be asking families to sign students in if they are dropped off late and we will also be asking that you provide an ID when you pick up students and checking Infinite Campus for authorized people. Ms. Brittany and Jaxon (aka Mr.T) are new to our community and still learning family connections. This is also district policy and ensures that we keep students and staff safe. Please help us by being patient and kind as we make these necessary safety changes. We are also continuing to look at supervision outside school when students are dropped off to ensure safety and an orderly entry to school.

As always, please reach out to me with any compliments, questions or concerns.

Scholastic Book Fair Update! Scholastic Book Fair Update!

We made just over 4,000 which means we get around $1500 in profits! This money will be going towards books for the library, getting 5th grade some new sets of books for book studies, and even some STEM supplies to help get us through the year. Thank you for your generous support!

Attendance, Health, and Safety Guidelines from the District Attendance, Health, and Safety Guidelines from the District

Flu Season Reminder: When to Keep Your Child Home

With flu season starting, we want to review our school鈥檚 illness guidelines to help keep everyone healthy and safe!

Attendance is very important! Being at school regularly helps students stay on track with their learning. However, staying home when sick helps prevent the spread of illness and protects our school community.

Please keep your child home if they:

  • Have a fever of 100.4掳F or higher. Students may return after being fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication.

  • Have vomiting or diarrhea. Students may return 24 hours after the last episode.

Thank you for helping us prevent the spread of illness and keep our school community healthy. We appreciate your support!

TSD Cell Phone and Personal Device Policy

Thompson School District鈥檚 cell phone and personal technology device policy is designed to foster a supportive educational environment with fewer distractions for students. In general, once students enter a school building, their personal technology devices鈥攊ncluding cell phones, smartwatches, tablets, laptops, cameras, and similar devices鈥攎ust be put away and inaccessible unless a specific exception applies. Students at every grade level may only use personal devices when a teacher specifically authorizes them for instructional purposes or when required by an IEP, Section 504 Plan, medical need or emergency.

Elementary and Middle Schools

Students are generally not allowed to use personal devices at any point during the school day while on campus, including before school, passing periods, lunch, and after school.
