The 6th Grade Team has been working hard to make sure your child has a successful, positive, and memorable school year! We are excited to partner with you throughout the year and support your child every step of the way.

We are off to a wonderful start with our phone policy, and we know that your support and partnership have played an important role in that success. Thank you for working with us to help our students build positive habits and stay focused throughout the school day.

Please continue to remind your child to place their phone in the designated lock box each morning when they arrive at school. We truly appreciate your continued support and partnership!

HOMEWORK PLANNER - This link is updated daily and sent out weekly. Please keep it bookmarked to help keep our students up with what is due.

SPORTS -- Use this link to sign up for fall sports if you have not done so yet. It will be the same link for other sports to come. https://crecmagnet-ct.finalforms.com/

If you have not already done so, please take a moment to complete and sign the Technology Forms in PowerSchool. These forms are important because they allow your child to have access to a Chromebook and the digital resources they need to complete their schoolwork.

To access the forms:

1. Log in to PowerSchool.

2. Use the drop-down menu to select “Forms.”

3. Look for the Technology Forms and complete/sign any forms that are listed.

Please complete the forms as soon as possible so that your child can have access to their Chromebook and fully participate in classroom activities.

Please also take a moment to complete and sign the Science Safety Form in PowerSchool. Completing this form ensures that your child can fully participate in all of the exciting, hands-on learning experiences and activities we have planned in Science!

To access the form:

1. Log in to PowerSchool.

2. Use the drop-down menu to select “Forms.”

3. Look for the Science Safety Form and complete it.

International will be performing The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical this year, and we would love to see our 6th graders involved! Since students are reading The Lightning Thief in ELA, this is a fun opportunity to bring the story to life in a whole new way.

Auditions: Tuesday, September 8th | 2:30–4:30 PM | Auditorium
Students will need a ride home.

Interested students can pick up the information and permission-slip packet. The deadline for 6th grade permission slips has been extended through Tuesday, September 8th.

Can’t make the in-person audition? Students can also submit a video audition. Please see the Performer Packet for details.
