Brief Message From the Principal

Dear Jayhawk Elementary Families,

As we close up the 3rd quarter of our school year, it is an exciting time here at Jayhawk Elementary as we see our students demonstrating growth and progress in their learning.

A reminder that Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held next Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00–8:00 PM. These conferences provide a valuable opportunity for our teachers and families to connect, share student progress, and discuss ways we can continue supporting each student’s success. We look forward to visiting with many of you during this time. If you are unable to attend your child's scheduled conference time, please do not hesitate to reach out to the office to let us know.

In the classroom, our teachers continue to progress monitor students weekly through our intervention system. This allows our staff to closely track student growth and provide additional support when needed. It is truly an exciting time of year for our staff as we begin to see the meaningful academic growth our students are making through their hard work and dedication.

Over the past several weeks, our students and staff have also continued practicing our school crisis procedures. We recently completed both fire and tornado drills, which are important practices that help ensure everyone understands our safety procedures. These drills allow us to be prepared and help us prioritize the safety of all students and staff.
