Hello Bulldog Families.

The month of May begins with only two weeks of classes for our Class of 2026 students! We enjoy celebrating with our BHS seniors and can’t wait to shake their hands at our commencement ceremony on May 21st! Take a few minutes to review our Seniors’ Important phase out days.

Make sure to review all of our photos in this newsletter. This week, our high school band held their spring concert while celebrating their seniors! On Wednesday, our Spanish National Honor Society inducted its new members.

We will begin Advanced Placement (AP) testing next week, and we sincerely wish our AP students the best as they get to demonstrate their knowledge in these very important exams!

We are also delighted to celebrate our teachers and staff during National Teacher Appreciation Week, which runs from May 4-8, 2026. If you get a chance, please send an email to your students’ teachers and thank them for everything they do for our students.

Mr. Buis, Mr. Moorehead and I will be spending our Saturday evening with our BHS juniors and seniors at our prom. We can’t wait to see them all looking their best and creating memories with their classmates.

We hope you all have a great weekend!

In service to our Bulldogs.

Hello, Families.

Welcome to the month of May! State testing is over, but AP tests will begin soon. Also, there are not too many weeks left until summer break.

Please remind your students that our cell phone policy is still in place and that they need to be away during the day. Cell phone infractions can lead to lunch detentions and/or Thursday/Friday school. For the most part, the students have been doing a great job all year long with this new law.

Lastly, students that are passing their driving test and need a parking spot for the remainder of the year can email me.

Have a great weekend.

Joe Moorehead, Dean of Students

The FAFSA Application is still Open!!!!

  • The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for students entering or attending college for the 2026-27 academic year is up and running! Any student that is thinking about attending any type of education/training after high school should complete the FAFSA - technical school, trade school, community college, public university, or private university. The FAFSA is what determines your eligibility for student loans, grants, work-study, and scholarships - thus, it is VERY important that you complete and submit it. Keep in mind, all students are eligible for student loans! We will continue to share information and helpful resources with you and your family as we receive it!

  • The Ohio Department of Higher Education would like to share that the 2026-27 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available for all families to complete. Families who want to start filling out the FAFSA now can start the process at studentaid.gov.

  • For additional assistance with FAFSA completion, please visit itsforyou.org, and look under the “Looking for FAFSA Help?” section for more information
