Beginning Band Information
Parent Meeting and Instrument Drive
Hello Parents!
Around August 1st you will receive an email with information on instrument and supply needs for your child's chosen instrument, which was determined during our instrument testing nights last spring. If your child has not been tested to see what instrument they need to play please contact Ms. Johnson-Black (email below) to set up a time. Students will not be placed on an instrument without testing.
Due to the large number of cheap, poorly made instruments that are available on the internet, retail stores etc., we ask that you DO NOT make a purchase on your own without seeing the list that will be sent out in early August.
Please email if you have any questions. Because of summer vacation schedules, please allow a few days for us to get back to you.

*Will discuss instrument and supply requirements, classroom policies, and student expectations.
Tarpley Beginning Band Instrument Drive
Laura Bush Middle School Band Hall
6 to 8 p.m. (directly following the parent meeting)
*Parents will be able to purchase/rent instrument and supplies from Tarpley Music Company.
