Flag Ceremony - 31st Jan π
Friday 31st Jauary was another great day in the history of TPS. We were very proud to raise three flags outside our school, The Irish flag, the Amber Flag and the CineΓ‘ltas flag. A combination of older and younger students, teachers, SNAs, parents and our caretaker Peter all helped to hoist the flags; showing how when we all pull together, the best things can be achieved. The Amber Flag represents our commitment to promoting positive mental health, the CineΓ‘ltas flag represents our rejection of Bullying and our saying a massive "Yes" to kindness and friendship. To finish up our ceremony, our famous TPS choir sang 'I Have a Voice' because having a voice is a huge part of strong mental health, friendship, kindness and belonging. We are proud to belong to the TPS Community ππ
TPS Tech Tigers π€
Our 6th Class Robotics Team had a fantastic day at the VEX Regional Finals in DELL in January. They worked hard promoting, fundraising, building, coding and driving all year in preparation for this competition. They worked so well as a team to complete driving skills, coding skills and teamwork challenges and came away with an innovate award and 4th place in the overall Teamwork challenge. It was a great experience for our future engineers & coders. We are very proud of the work did & how well they participated.
Congratulations to the Robotics Team: Emma Hehir, Elliott Owokole, Jake Myles, John Lee Price Hackett, Kaci Carr, Molly O'Riordan, Josh O'Mahony, Scott Graham, Tori Leigh Whelan, and Tyler Hickey.
We said 'Thank You'! π
We sent this lovely thank-you with all our names & thumbprints to the team at Henry Schein for organising and sponsoring our special trip to the Panto in December.
Special Sacramental Celebrations π
Our 2nd class had their enrolment ceremony as they get ready for their First Holy Communion, and our 6th class took part in the Service of Light to prepare for their Confirmation.
Wellbeing Evaluation π«
In September, TPS was visited by two inspectors from the Department of Education to review our practices in promoting the wellbeing of our pupils. Over the course of two days, the inspectors carefully observed various aspects of school life, including our culture, environment, and the quality of teaching and learning across all settings.
The inspectors were highly complimentary of what they observed, praising the strong sense of community and the positive atmosphere that is evident throughout our school, as well as the commitment and care shown by staff in fostering the wellbeing of every student.
The final report issued recently and is available to you below.
