Auditions will be May 5 in the commons by grade level:

7th grade during 2nd hour

8th grade during 4th hour

6th grade during 5th hour

(5th graders have already auditioned during music class)

Talent Show:

WHEN: MAY 18

TIME: 6:30 PM

WHERE: STAGEBARN GYM

Happening Now: Student Council Elections for 2023-2024 School Year

• Vice President: MUST BE A CURRENT 6th GRADER

• Secretary: 5th - 7th Graders

• Treasurer: 5th - 7th Graders

What students need to do:

1. Campaign until May 5th (for example: put up posters)

2. Pick up & turn in “Officer Campaigns” form to Ms. Steinley (Room A112 - 8th Grade science) by May 5th (This form needs a parent/guardian signature.)

3. Prepare a 1-2 minute video

• Can be prepared at home and emailed/shared to Ms. Steinley (grace.steinley@k12.sd.us) by May 5th

• Coordinate with Ms. Steinley to record in school either Tuesday, May 2nd or Wednesday, May 3rd

• (Stop in or email Ms. Steinley to sign up for a time - Room A112)

8th graders signing up for HIGHSCHOOL Football!! Congratulations!

Any 8th grade students signed up for the DC/NY trip. There will be a pre-departure meeting May 17 @ 4:30 P.M. to go over Flights, Hotels, Itinerary, and other information.

The SDSD Hearing Bus will be seeing 5th graders at Stagebarn on Monday, April 24th for routine screening. If you have a concern regarding any student, please contact our school nurse. If you would like to opt out of the hearing bus for your 5th grade student, please contact the school nurse.

The School District will be hosting three (3) public presentations on the Demographics & Facility Master Plan that Arch, Inc. has provided to the district.

The intent of the presentations is to communicate the potential growth of the district and help provide an understanding of the various needs of each facility and the planning for future projects.

Mr. Wormstadt and a few board members will be providing brief presentations at the following locations:

Thursday, April 20 @ 6:00 pm- Stagebarn Middle School - gym

Monday, April 24 @ 6:00 pm - Central Meade Co. school (Union Center) - commons area

Thursday, April 27 @ 6:00 pm - Sturgis Williams Middle School - Grunwald gym

Parents, staff members, students and community members are encouraged to attend.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are excited to announce that we have developed a new attendance email address for our students. This email address will allow students and parents to report absences and tardies and receive notifications regarding attendance issues.

The new email address is: MeadeSMSOffice@k12.sd.us.

Please note that emails to this address will be received by our attendance office staff and will be forwarded to your child's teacher for record-keeping purposes. We encourage you and your child to utilize this new system to report any absences or tardy in a timely and efficient manner. This will help us to maintain accurate attendance records and ensure that your child receives the necessary support to succeed in school.
