Dr. Hernandez' Message
Dear McClure Health Science High School Families,
As we move toward the end of the semester and the upcoming holiday breaks, we want to take a moment to remind everyone about the importance of consistent School Attendance: Every day of instruction matters. When students are present and engaged, they build stronger connections with their teachers and peers, stay on track with their learning, and develop important habits for success.
We know this time of year can be especially busy with family events and travel plans. However, we kindly ask you to make every efforts to schedule activities around our school calendar. Missing even a few days right now can make it difficult for students to catch up as teachers begin wrapping up key units, assessments, and projects!
Let’s work together to finish the semester strong and keep our students learning and growing every day. Thank you for your continued support in helping our students “Awaken the Wonder” each time they walk through our doors.
Thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to helping every student thrive at McClure Health Science High School! 💙
Yours in Service,
Dr. Hernandez

🎨 ART ANGELS: Support the MHSHS Art Gallery Project!
Our ARTOME fundraising site is now live! We are excited to launch our Art Angels campaign and invite our school community, partners, and local businesses to help us bring more student artwork to life throughout our building.
🌟 Our Goal: 50 Framed Student Artworks
We want to begin with at least 50 frames to activate student gallery spaces across campus:
12 for the auditorium (6 on each side, or more if we cluster)
18 for collaboration spaces across the B–D floors
20 for stairwells or other high-priority blank areas
This will allow us to showcase student art beautifully and permanently, creating a warm, inspiring environment throughout MHSHS.
💛 Art Angels Donor Levels
To recognize and celebrate everyone who supports this project, we will offer the following thank-you incentives:
$25–$50
Personalized thank-you email
Student-created art postcard (printed and mailed)
$100
Thank-you email
Art postcard
Recognition of donor name on our school website
$250+
Thank-you email
Art postcard
Recognition on website
McClure T-shirt (student-designed) or custom mug featuring student artwork
All donors will also receive an invitation to our art shows.
🖼️ Future Vision: A Permanent Student Art Gallery
As the program grows, we hope to establish a year-round art gallery space in the building—complete with track lighting—dedicated to our largest supporters and the incredible work of our students.

After-School Events Pick-Up Plan
Families, please remember that students must be picked up within 15–30 minutes after an event concludes. Late pickups may result in students losing the privilege to participate in future after-school activities.
To keep dismissal safe and efficient during after-school events (such as Pink Out, Hispanic Heritage Festival, International Night, Black History Month Cookout, etc.) , please review our pick-up plan and traffic flow map before you arrive.
To help ensure smooth dismissal, please review our After-School Pick-Up Map and Plan below:
