Senior Robing Recording
For those who were unable to attend the Senior Robing Ceremony, the full video recording of the event is now available to watch on our YouTube page.
We also want to remind families that both the Junior High Awards Ceremony and Meridian High School Graduation Ceremony will be recorded and posted to our YouTube page following the events.
🦁 Zoo Trip Reminder 🐘🦒
Our zoo trip for students who earned the attendance incentive field trip and turned in their signed permission forms will take place this Tuesday!
We will leave the school promptly at 7:00 a.m., so students should arrive on time and ready for the day. Breakfast and sack lunches will be provided for all students attending the trip.
Students may dress comfortably for a warm day and should wear comfortable walking shoes.
I am looking forward to this wonderful trip with our students and am excited to travel with them and enjoy the zoo together. This will actually be my first visit to this particular zoo — and I absolutely love zoos — so I’m just as excited as the kids!
Principal’s Corner 🐝
As summer quickly approaches, I wanted to share that Hive Happenings will soon transition over to Coach Doughty. There will be just one more edition of the Hive written by me before he officially takes over this tradition for Meridian High School.
The photos shared throughout today’s edition are moments that teachers wanted to celebrate or pictures I was able to capture myself while moving around campus. There have been so many wonderful things happening around our school lately that it has honestly been hard to keep up with it all — and that is a great problem to have!
Next week will be incredibly busy, but also full of celebration, memories, and special moments for our students and staff. The 2025-2026 school year has truly been a great one, and I am so proud of everything our students, staff, and families have accomplished together.
I cannot wait to see what 2026-2027 brings for Meridian High School. The future is bright at MHS!
As always — Go Jackets!

Daniel Mendoza
Daniel was nominated by Mrs. Gann (Desean's mom) due to him coming to aid Desean after a scary bicycle accident. Due to Daniel's quick thinking and keeping calm in an emergency situation, he was able to calm him down and call his mom who was able to get him prompt medical attention.
