The Young Way
Week of April 28th-May 2nd
Pre-K Fun!
With only 14 ½ days left of school , yesterday (can you believe it?!), I decided to celebrate each of my 14 students by letting them be Teacher of the Day! Each morning, we pop a mystery balloon to reveal who gets to wear the “teacher hat” for the day. Our special teacher helps lead the class in our morning routine, assists with daily activities, and even gets a heartwarming moment during circle time where we share what we love most about them. These moments are full of smiles, laughter, and a whole lot of pride. Stay tuned to see who’s the next teacher .
Our garden is thriving, and I couldn’t be more proud of our little gardeners! They now know all the parts of a plant and still get excited to pull weeds and add fertilizer. Their love for plants and flowers matches my own, and it’s been such a joy to watch them grow alongside our garden. We’re all looking forward to seeing the fruits of our labor before school is out!
We had a wonderful guidance lesson from our amazing counselor! She read a story about a character who wasn’t very responsible and didn’t help his friends out and discussed with the students what it means to be responsible. Each student got a chance to listen to a scenario and decide if it was a responsible choice or not a responsible choice. Some responsible examples were : putting your things in the correct place when you arrive at school, bringing your folder to school everyday, cleaning up after you make a mess, walking the correct way in line if you are the line leader.

Watch D.O.G.S.
A huge thank you to Jose Martinez for serving as a Watch D.O.G.S. volunteer on campus today! Your presence made a big difference—whether it was greeting students with a smile, helping in classrooms, or just being a positive role model. Our kids love seeing dads involved, and your time and commitment mean so much to our school community.
