Anna May Daulton Elementary
What a GREAT First Week!
It was a great first week at Anna May Daulton! This is the first time Daulton has been full to start a year in several years. It is a great feeling to have all of our Dragons in the building to start the year! We have planned many fun things and events this year that we haven't been able to do or had to do in a different capacity. I don't think I have ever been this excited to get a school year started!
Car Rider Dismissal
Thank you all for being patient and working with us while we get routines and procedures in place. Here are a few reminders that will help us stay efficient:
-Please have your car tag hanging up when you pull into the carline and keep them up until your child gets in the car. This signals to the staff on duty that you still need your child.
-Take your car tag down when your child gets in the car. This tells the staff on duty that your child is in your car.
-These actions will allow us to work even faster to get every child home at a reasonable time.
Let's hope all the rain in the forecast for the week holds off during arrival and dismissal. If it is raining during dismissal, it will take a little longer to get every student in their car safely. If the weather is too severe to load students, dismissal will be delayed to ensure all students are staff are safe.
Beginning of the Year Info for New and Returning Families
LUNCH VISITORS
The first day for lunch visitors is August 30th. Please make sure you are registered in skyward before coming to lunch. For this 6 weeks, lunch visitors will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The days will change every 6 Weeks to ensure we meet the schedule of every parent/guardian.
DAD JOKES
Daulton Dads, we want to make you a part of our Friday announcements! Click on the link below to submit your best Dad Joke. We will share multiple jokes every Friday. When sharing your joke, we will say, "This joke comes to you from (student name) dad in 2nd grade!" We will also share the jokes on our Facebook page each Friday.
MOTIVATION MOM
Daulton Moms, we want to make you a part of our Monday announcements! Help our Dragons get the week started off right with a short motivational statement or quote. Like the dad jokes, we will share your student's name and grade when reading your entry over the announcements.

NEW STUDENT DEVICE REQUEST
All 2nd-4th grade students receive Chromebooks to assist with instruction and learning. If you are NEW to Daulton and need a device, please click on the link below and follow the steps to request a device through MISD's website.
