A WELCOME MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL CARROLL
Every Day Matters at Kahla
We are off to a great start at Kahla Middle School. Our teachers are working hard each day to ensure students are learning, growing, and achieving at high levels. Last year, Kahla earned a B rating and showed growth on our state assessments. This year, we are working toward an even bigger goal: becoming an A-rated campus.
One of the biggest ways families can help us get there is by making attendance a non-negotiable. Our goal is 95% attendance, because every day missed means lost instruction, support, and opportunities to grow.
We need your partnership, especially in the moments when parenting requires holding the line. Make sure your child comes to school every day they are healthy enough to attend. Plan travel during school breaks and avoid extending vacations by missing days before or after a holiday. Set a bedtime, collect phones and other electronics at night when needed, and make sure your child gets the sleep they need to be ready for school. Check grades, ask questions, and do not allow staying home from school to become the easy option.
When school and home work together, our students have the best opportunity to succeed. Every day matters, and every day we have them at Kahla is another opportunity to learn, grow, and move closer to our goals.

THIS MONTH AT A GLANCE
WHAT'S HAPPENING AT KAHLA
Clubs at Kahla
Our focus right now is building clubs that are created for and by our Kahla students! Kahla clubs are student-started and student-run, giving Knights the opportunity to explore their interests, connect with others, develop leadership skills, and make a difference on our campus.
Students can join clubs such as Art, Anime, Book, Frisbee, UNO, LEGO, Computer, Craft, and Circle of Friends. Students can also bring their own ideas to life by creating a new club with a teacher sponsor.
Ready to start something new? Find a teacher sponsor and complete a club application, available in the Counselors’ Office or in the folder on the Library window near the front door.
Our clubs. Our ideas. Our Knights. 💚💛
