Hello, Lawrence Public Schools Community,
At the close of this school year, I want to take this opportunity to thank our students, teachers and staff teams, school families, and the community for the excellent work, support, and partnership in achieving a successful 2024-2025 school year for students.
This past week has been a special time as we held commencement exercises, awarding diplomas to more than 900 graduates of the Class of 2025. These young people are impressive, and we wish them well in their endeavors. You may enjoy seeing more information about our graduation celebrations found on our website. Our success as a school district is a direct result of the dedicated work of our students, teachers, staff, school leaders, and board in partnership with families and our community. Thank you for the positive difference each of you has made to our schools and the lives of our students this year.
We look forward to our summer work to prepare for the exciting launch of the 2025-26 school year. During the coming weeks, we will be working to enhance our top-quality programming, refresh our physical buildings and grounds, and ensure we are well staffed, so every detail is prepared for fall. We continue to make solid progress on improving the priority areas we heard about from our students, staff, parents and community. Our focus is on improving student achievement opportunities, outcomes, and supports; enhancing high quality programming; streamlining systems and processes to ensure resources support classrooms and ensure high quality staff; and continuing our engagement and communication with our community. We are stronger together!
