Wednesday 4/29-GREEN DAY- LAST Concert and Symphony Cello and Bass Sectionals 3-4:30 PM. LAST DAY TO REGISTER TO ATTEND THE BANQUET.

Thursday 4/30- RED DAY- Mariachi 3-5

Friday 5/1-GREEN DAY- No after-school activities

Saturday 5/2- Mariachi Concert at 7 PM (mariachi student call time is 2 PM)

Monday 5/4- RED DAY- AP TESTS Begin, No after-school Orchestra activities

Tuesday 5/5- GREEN DAY- No after-school Orchestra activities

Wednesday 5/6- RED DAY- ORCHESTRA BANQUET 6 PM

Thursday 5/7- GREEN DAY- No after-school Orchestra activities

Friday 5/8- RED DAY- Tech Rehearsal for the Final Concert 3-6 PM (3-4:45 PM Phil/Camerata, 4:15-6 PM Concert/Symphony, 3-6 PM for Chamber).

Saturday 5/9- Final Concert 7:30 PM. Student Call Time 6:30 PM.

TWHS Orchestra Booster Club Update

Thank you to all our parents who’ve stepped up to help at events or donate to our asks this year! Every year the budget gets tighter from the district and every bit of support helps!

Volunteers

We are in the process of identifying the board for next year. Parents can be from TWHS or McCullough. Our board typically meets once a month during the school year in the evening. The positions and skills that we are looking to fill are:

• VP McCullough - communicate with directors to identify needs, coordinate volunteers
• Historian McCullough - videos, photos
• Social Media, Graphics
• Banquet - decor and planning
• Concerts - decor and planning, crowd control

Senior Slideshow

We’re getting ready to celebrate our seniors and are collecting photos and senior wall images to include in our Senior slide show at the banquet. Please submit 5-6 photos (baby to high school) and senior wall image via form https://forms.gle/sXY4Ref2wSX4Bmy48 or email Courtney.llamas@gmail.com.

Banquet tickets are available now on our website. YOU MUST PURCHASE TICKETS BEFORE THURSDAY, 4/30/26.

Wednesday May 6th 6-9pm at The Woodlands Country Club

Senior tickets are $0 but you must register.

Freshman - Juniors are $30 (subsidized by Booster club)

Friends/Family - $45

• May 2nd: Mariachi Concert 7 PM

• May 6th- Orchestra Banquet

• May 8th- End of Year Concert Technical Rehearsal- 3-6 PM TWHS Auditorium

• MAY 9th- End of Year Concert 6:30 PM at THE WOODLANDS HIGH SCHOOL AUDITORIUM.

Events in BOLD are REQUIRED OF ALL STUDENTS.

• May 23rd- Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest in Austin.

Students who wish to stay in the same (or equivalent) group do not need to reaudition.

• If you are in Philharmonic and want to go to Camerata next year, no audition is needed.
• If you are in Symphony and want to be in Concert next year, no audition is needed.
• If you want to stay in a class you are already in (Camerata, Concert, or Chamber) no audition is needed.

If you want to move up a level, an audition is needed. Auditions will be taped and uploaded to a Google form by 11:59 PM on Sunday, May 10th.

Students will only need to complete the audition for the level they wish to audition for.

Pianos wishing to audition for a higher group should prepare a solo that best represents their technical skills.

Come out and join the Mariachi for their Final Concert of the Year! This will be the first concert in our newly refurbished Auditorium. Doors open at 6:30 PM and the Concert starts at 7 PM. Student call is 2 PM

We are so excited to present our final concert of the school year in our newly renovated auditorium. Join us on Saturday May 9th at 7:30 PM, Doors will open at 7 PM. Our theme this year is " A Few of Our Favorite Things", every piece on the concert was selected by one of the students. Seats in the center section of the auditorium will be reserved for Senior families and our sponsors. We will be recording this concert.

Student Call for the concert is 6:30 PM, and students should wear their green orchestra polo/senior t-shirt, dark blue jeans with no holes, and black shoes. Cellists need to bring their home cello for this concert.

To give the best possible concert and get used to our new space, we will have a technical rehearsal on Friday, May 8th, from 3-6 PM. Students in Philharmonic and Camerata will rehearse from 3-4:45 PM, Students in Symphony and Concert will rehearse from 4:15 to 6 PM, and students in Chamber Orchestra will rehearse from 3 to 6 PM. ALL STUDENTS MUST ATTEND THIS TECHNICAL REHEARSAL. Cellists should bring their home cello to this rehearsal. Students do not need to wear anything special for this concert.

Private Lessons for all students are highly encouraged. The summer is a great to get ahead on technique. Listed below are teachers who work closely with our program, or click the button below for ALL CISD approved private lesson teachers.

The following students will be traveling to Austin for UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble on Saturday May 23rd.

• 7:45 AM- Meet on the Bus Ramp of TWHS (BRING INSTRUMENT, ORIGINAL MUSIC FOR THE JUDGE, PERFORMANCE CLOTHES, AND MUSIC STANDS IF YOU ARE IN AN ENSEMBLE)
• 8 AM Depart for UT Butler School of Music (Stop at Buc-ee's on the way)
• 12 PM Arrive at Butler School of Music and Warm Up
• 1-5:30 PM Student Performance Times
• 6:00 PM Depart Austin for TWHS (Grab and go Dinner at Buc-ee's on the way home)
• 10:00 PM Arrive TWHS
