The Scholarly Beat

December 2022

At Sonora ES our mission is high learning for ALL!

Please check the Sonora Elementary Facebook Page for a virtual view of the items in Lost and Found for Fall 2022. We want to get the items back to their owners.

Be on the lookout for the Christmas Reading Challenge that will be coming on with the students on December 20th, before we leave for the Christmas Holiday.

Scholars Shining Bright Award

Our mission statement is high learning for ALL! Please use this form to nominate a staff member who exemplifies our mission of high learning and shining bright! Each recipient will receive a certificate, be announced on the morning announcements, and posted on social media. We will continue to recognize our students with the 'Shining Bright Award' as they are nominated by students.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to call or email me (r stewman@sdale.org) or Mrs. Hennarichs (lhennarichs@sdale.org). We are here to help make your child's educational experience the best it can possibly be!

Shopping on Amazon for the Holidays?

If you're like most people these days, you do the majority of your Christmas (and regular) shopping on Amazon! Did you know you can support your school while shopping through both the app and the website? It’s totally free and Amazon will donate a percentage of your purchases to Sonora Elementary!

To sign up using the website, just bookmark smile.amazon.com and select Sonora Elementary PTA as your charity.

We have included pictures showing how to select our school through the app.

We have received $352.29 since we started using it a couple of years ago and would love to have more of you sign up to increase that amount! Thanks so much for your support!

Each family received two car tags. Students have a matching tag on their backpack. If you need to purchase additional tags, please come to the office. They are $2 each.

The back of each car tag has the contactless check-in and out QR codes and directions. Remember to use the first 3 parking spaces if you are checking your child/children in or out once school is in session.
