October 22, 2026

Jackson Families,

As we wrap up an incredibly busy and fun month at Jackson, we want to thank you for the many ways you have supported our staff and school community. We especially appreciate you taking the time to meet with your child’s teacher, learn more about your child as a student and a learner, and partner with us in supporting their growth. These conversations strengthen the connection between home and school, and we are grateful to work alongside you.

We hope you can join us tomorrow night for Jackson Family Movie Night! Events like these are a wonderful opportunity to spend time together, build relationships, and strengthen the sense of community that makes Jackson special. Our amazing PTO has worked hard to make this evening possible, and we are so thankful for all they do to support our students, staff, and families.

If you haven’t joined PTO yet, we encourage you to consider getting involved. PTO plays an important role in creating meaningful experiences for our school, and we would love for every Jackson family to find a way to be connected to our community. Thank you for being part of Jackson and for all the ways you help make our school a special place for children to learn and grow!

Warm regards,

Mrs. Reynolds

Principal

Important Reminders

Arrival & Attendance Reminders

  • Our building opens as early as 7:25 AM, giving students plenty of time to enter the building, get settled, and be ready for the start of their day.
  • Students who arrive after the 7:50 AM late bell will be marked tardy. If your student arrives after 7:50 AM, you will need to park your vehicle and come into the front office to sign your student in with our receptionist.

Attendance Note Submission Process

  • Doctor’s notes or other supporting documentation for an absence, must be submitted by completing the online Attendance Note Submission form and uploading your documentation within the form.
  • Student's 8-digit ID numbers are required in order to complete the form, and may be found in Skyward Family Access. This process applies to both full-day and partial-day absences.
  • Please note that a parent notification submitted through Skyward Family Access regarding a doctor's visit does not qualify as a doctor's note.
  • Please do not email your absence notes to teachers or our registrar as the process has now changed.

Dropping off Items at School

  • Protecting every instructional minute is extremely important to us. To minimize interruptions to learning, we will not make phone calls to classrooms for forgotten items. Please help your child arrive at school prepared each day with all necessary instructional materials and, if you are sending lunch from home, their lunch. If your child does forget an item, parents are welcome to drop it off in the front lobby. Please be sure that all items are clearly labeled with your child’s first and last name and their teacher’s name. Thank you for helping us protect instructional time and keep our classrooms focused on learning!

2nd Annual Rock Hill Baseball Pickleball Tournament

Rock Hill Baseball is excited to announce our 2nd Annual Rock Hill Baseball Pickleball Tournament fundraiser! This is our sole fundraising event for the fall season, and this year, we want to transform it into a massive community celebration.

To make this a huge success, we need all hands on deck from our players and parents. Here is how your family can help:

  • Form a Team: Every player needs to find a partner (pairing up with another baseball player is perfectly fine!) and register their duo.
  • Recruit a Team: In addition to playing, each individual player is responsible for recruiting at least one additional team from outside the program to sign up.
  • Donate Auction Items: We are hosting a silent auction during the tournament. If you have access to popular items, sports memorabilia, event tickets, gift cards, or themed baskets, please consider making a donation.
  • Volunteer Your Time: We need a dedicated committee of parents to help with pre-event planning, as well as volunteers to help execute the tournament on game day (managing check-ins, courts, and concessions).
  • Spread the Word: Share the attached flyer with friends, neighbors, and coworkers to help us promote the event.

Want to help plan or donate? Please fill out this committee interest form if you would like to help with the planning of the tournament.

Have an auction item you would like to donate. Let us know here!

Event Details:

Date: Saturday, October 24

Time: Games begin at 8:00 AM

  • Location: Rock Hill Auxiliary Gyms
  • Cost: $40 per team
  • Who can play: All skill levels are welcome (ages 12 and up)!

Come out for a great day of competition, a silent auction, prizes, and a fully stocked concession stand. Scan the QR code on the attached flyer to secure your spot today. Thank you for supporting Rock Hill Baseball!

Early Pickup Reminder

If you need to pick up your child early, please plan to do so by 2:30 PM. Between 2:30 and our regular dismissal time of 3:10 PM, we are unable to release students, as our staff is preparing classrooms and students for a smooth, safe dismissal.

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we work to make dismissal time as safe and orderly as possible for every child.

Change of Dismissal Form

Please use the link below if you would like to change how your child is dismissed that day. For day-of dismissal changes only, please complete this Change of Dismissal Form by 2:00 p.m. on the day of the change. No dismissal changes can be accepted after 2:00 p.m. To ensure your child’s safety and that the change is communicated accurately, this form is the only way to make a dismissal change during the school day. Please complete a separate form for each child.

BEST PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN TEXAS
Named by HEB's Excellence in Education Awards as the Best Large District in the State of Texas, Prosper ISD has an established 68-year history that is grounded in the humble roots of a farming community, now known for excellence in the arts, academics, and athletics. Our students and staff are routinely recognized on the local, state, and national levels for outstanding achievements, and our teachers are highly qualified experts who bring out the best in every student.

We are incredibly proud to share that Prosper ISD has officially been recognized as a Model Professional Learning Community (PLC) District by Solution Tree's Evidence of Effectiveness Committee. This is one of the most prestigious recognitions in education — and it belongs to every single person who shows up for our students every day.

This distinction is not given lightly. It is earned — through years of intentional collaboration, a relentless focus on learning, and a shared commitment to ensuring that every student in Prosper ISD has the opportunity to succeed at the highest levels.

ABOUT PROSPER ISD

Prosper ISD is a school district located north of Dallas in Collin and Denton Counties. The district spans approximately 58 square miles and serves more than 34,000 students in 20 elementary schools, 7 middle schools, 4 high schools, and one early childhood school.

🫶🏼THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY FOR SUPPORTING OUR TEACHERS & STUDENTS

In November 2023, an overwhelming majority of voters approved $2.7 billion dollars to continue building excellence in Prosper ISD. Thank you for your continued financial commitment to our district.

And while our facilities are second to none, we know that it is the people who make the difference in Prosper ISD. From our bus drivers to our teachers to our teacher assistants, our staff is here to support students as they pursue their dreams of excellence in academics, fine arts, and athletics.
