Hello 8th Grade Families!

Believe it or not, 8th Grade Promotion is less than a month away. I am also shedding a few tears as I have known many of your children since they were in Preschool! On that note, promotion tickets are now available for pickup.

Here are a few key things to note:

  • Each scholar will receive FIVE tickets.
  • Tickets MUST be picked up and signed for by an adult. NO tickets will be given to students.
  • IF we have additional tickets available, there will be another post on or around May 26th. These will be given out on a first come, first serve basis-with 2 being the maximum number of tickets able to be picked up.

May is Asthma Awareness Month. For more information go to the following website--https://allergyasthmanetwork.org/

Please pick up your child's meds before the end of the year, as they will be thrown out on 05/29/2026, unless you make arrangements with Mrs. Upperman. We have another nurse coming to our school for Summer School, so she needs room for the summertime medications.

Don't forget about immunizations this summer as it is a good time to get all caught up on the State required immunizations for school. Help keep our community safe and healthy!

Summertime is also a good time to get those medication orders done , so when next school year rolls around, you are ready to hand Mrs. Upperman your child's medication and his/her medication sheet. Meds are not given without a Provider's order. The medication sheet is located on CMSD website. The link is below.

Also, for next year we will have he Cleveland Clinic Mobile Health Van here. PLEASE consider making sure you have an Integrated Health Form completed and you can have things like immunizations, allergy medication, asthma action plans, etc. taken care by the Provider on the van. You don't have to give up your regular physician to be seen by the Cleveland Clinic SBHC Van. Pleases call Mrs. Upperman at 216-838-6714 for any questions or suggestions.
