From the Principal's Desk
Dear SHS Families,
We had an exciting and eventful Holy Week here at the school. I want to first congratulate our kids who took their State Assessments this week for doing their best. We will be doing some make-up for students who missed their test after we return from Easter, for students who did not complete all of their assessments.
It is so special to be able to prepare for Easter this week with the kids. From the Living Stations, to the Seder Meal and the special ways each classroom prepares for the easter season, I believe that our students have been given the tools to approach the Triduum with the wonder and awe appropriate for this special time of year. I hope that all our families have a Blessed Easter.
Once we return, the end of the school year will be creeping up quickly, and the urge to give less and less effort in the classroom seems to get harder to fight. I encourage families to be especially diligent in protecting learning time at home and maintain good habits to set students up for a strong finish to the year.
I also want to send a big thank you out to Mrs. Nilges for helping us in the 3rd/4th grade classroom. Our students were blessed to have her care while Mrs. Miller was away. Mrs. Miller returns on Tuesday, and we are excited for her return.
With Faith & Hope,
Patrick (P.J.) Greer
