Dr. Hernandez' Message
Dear McClure Health Science High School Families,
Thank you for your continued support as we enter the final days of the semester. Final exams begin next week, and it is important that students attend each day to complete their assessments. Please scroll down to the "Week at a Glance" section for the full exam schedule. As a reminder, final exams cannot be taken early, and students should arrive on time, prepared for each testing block. During early release days, check-out times will be limited to maintain a smooth testing environment and minimize disruptions for all students. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us protect this important instructional time.
I also want to kindly ask yo to take a few minutes to complete the Georgia State Parent Survey. The results impact our School Climate Rating and help guide decisions that strengthen teaching, learning, and the overall environment at McClure Health Science High School. Please click HERE to complete it. Your feedback is incredibly valuable!
Finally, I hope you can take part in our upcoming Engage, Equip, Empower virtual session, which offers helpful strategies for supporting your child’s mathematical learning. Details and registration can be found in the “What’s Happening” section below.
Thank you for partnering with us as we finish the semester strong.
Yours in Service,
Dr. Hernandez

🌟 WOW Wednesday! 🌟
At MHSHS, positive behavior shines—and this week’s WOW Wednesday was a powerful reminder of the pride our students take in being Respectful, Responsible, and Ready. As part of PBIS, students were invited to publicly recognize their peers for their outstanding actions, and the outpouring of positivity was incredible!
Thank you to every student who submitted a nomination and to all those who consistently contribute to making our school a welcoming and uplifting community. Your kindness and leadership do not go unnoticed.
A special congratulations to the three students who received awards for their thoughtful nominations!
✨ Keep up the amazing work—your actions matter, and you never know who’s watching or who you may inspire!
💻✨ CSEd Week Spotlight! ✨💻
To celebrate Computer Science Education Week, Ms. Malloy hosted an engaging hands-on activity that brought coding concepts to life! Students had the opportunity to create their own binary code initial bracelets, using computer science principles to translate their initials into sequences of black and white beads—each representing the 0s and 1s of binary code.
This creative activity helped students make meaningful connections between coding and real-world applications, blending artistry with computational thinking. It also gave students a fun and accessible pathway into the world of computer science.
Thank you, Ms. Malloy, for inspiring curiosity and making CSEd Week an exciting learning experience for all!
❄️🎄 Feeling Festive at MHSHS! 🎄❄️
