Ashland Preschool Update

November 7th , 2025
Dear Pittaway Families,
It was another fun and busy week at Pittaway!
On Monday, we held a Stay-in-Place Drill for a simulated medical emergency in collaboration with the Ashland Police and Fire Departments. The drill lasted about seven minutes. During that time, students remained safely in their classrooms while we practiced our emergency response procedures.
On Wednesday, we were thrilled to welcome Deputy Chief Lyn and Captain Boland for a special visit. They taught the children all about fire safety, explaining why firefighters wear special gear, reviewing what number to call for help, and practicing important safety skills like Stop, Drop, and Roll and Crawling Low Under Smoke. Most importantly, they reminded the children that firefighters are helpers, and there’s no need to be afraid of them. To make the day extra special, each child received a firefighter hat to take home!
No School – Veterans Day
Just a reminder that there will be no school on Tuesday November 11th in honor of Veterans Day. We thank all those who have served and continue to serve our country!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend,
Amanda

🌎World Kindness Day🌎
On November 13th, Pittaway will celebrate World Kindness Day with a special Game Day! Each classroom will enjoy cooperative games that encourage kindness, sharing, teamwork, and taking turns. This is a fun way for students to practice social skills while playing and learning together!
