AP/IB Testing Proctors Needed AP/IB Testing Proctors Needed

We will need your help to proctor more than 2,600 AP exams and over 500 IB exams in May. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide any graduations tickets as we have in years past.

Below, you can find the Sign-up genius links to help proctor. Please review the testing schedule to see when you may be available to support our students.

Proctoring is very easy, and we couldn't do it without you. Each test already has a lead proctor, so now we need additional proctors to help monitor students.

We appreciate your time! Your help saves thousands of dollars each year that go back into resources, supplies for students, and teacher training.

Note: You cannot proctor an exam for a test your student is taking, so please check with them before signing up.

CAASPP Testing Math April 2026 CAASPP Testing Math April 2026

Dear Great Oak High School Families of Students in Grade 11,

As we head into the final months of school, the teachers and staff at GOHS are committed to helping each child be the best they can be! One way that we measure if students have learned all that we have taught is through the CAASPP (California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress). Additionally, this assessment provides EAP scores for college placement tests for the California Community Colleges and CSU System. It is also a component of students qualifying for the CA Biliteracy Seal, Multiliteracy Seal and Honors college acceptance.

Math begins on Monday, April 13th and continues through Friday, April 17th for all of our 11th grade students. GOHS will be on a Rolling Block schedule to allow students sufficient time to complete the assessment and will be administered by your student’s Math teacher during their regularly scheduled Math class.

We ask that during your child’s testing window that you consider the following in helping your child to do their best on the CAASPP:

  1. Bring Technology to School

Each student will need to bring a charged school issued iPAD or chromebook to school each day for testing. They will also need to bring a charging cable as a back-up! Students must also need to bring their PLUG IN headphones.

  1. Get a good night’s sleep

  2. Eat a Good Breakfast

  3. Encourage your Student

  4. Get them Moving

  5. Be at School and Arrive on Time.

We ask that if at all possible students are not pulled out of school for doctor/dentist appointments that would impact their testing time. We appreciate your support in protecting this time for all of the students.

Thank you in advance for your support, we greatly appreciate it!

Graduation Tickets and Reserved Parking: On Sale April 15th Graduation Tickets and Reserved Parking: On Sale April 15th

Dear Seniors and Families,

This week in Government and Economics classes, seniors were presented with important information regarding upcoming senior events. Those students taking Government or Economics online through Great Oak received the information during intervention.

The two most frequently addressed topics during the presentations pertained to graduation tickets and parking. While this information has already been shared with students, we want to ensure that families and guardians also have clear and accurate details.

Graduation Tickets:

  • Each senior will receive 4 complimentary tickets for general seating.

  • Seniors may earn 1 additional free ticket by completing the FAFSA..

  • Seniors may purchase up to 3 additional tickets while supplies last.

  • Ticket sales begin on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 7:00 AM.

  • Tickets are $30 each.

  • Tickets may only be purchased at the bookkeeper’s window.

  • As we are a closed campus, only students may purchase tickets.

  • No checks! Acceptable forms of payment: Cash, Credit/Debit cards, or Tap to Pay.

  • Students have already received an email indicating their assigned seating section. CHANGES TO SEAT ASSIGNMENTS CANNOT BE MADE.

  • Students with outstanding discipline, fines, or obligations will not be permitted to purchase additional tickets until all items are cleared.

Parking Information:

  • General parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis in Lot B, Lot C, and surrounding areas.

  • Limited accessible (handicap) parking is available with a valid placard or license plate.

  • Due to limited parking, families are strongly encouraged to drop off their seniors rather than arriving in multiple vehicles. ***Please note that senior parking spots ARE NOT reserved for graduation.

  • Reserved parking in Lot A (front of the school) will be available for purchase beginning April 15, 2026, at 7:00 AM at the bookkeeper window ONLY.

  • Reserved parking costs $40 per space, and availability is limited.

  • No checks! Acceptable forms of payment: Cash, Credit/Debit cards, or Tap to Pay.

  • Specific spaces are not assigned; however, purchase guarantees access to the reserved lot, thus being able to arrive closer to the graduation start time.

Graduation and Reserved Parking Ticket Distribution:

Tickets and parking will be distributed during Senior Checkout on June 3rd, after the Walk of Gratitude.

For additional details about graduation, senior events, and important dates—including graduation on June 4, 2026—please review the SENIOR PRESENTATION. As information sometimes changes, please read the Senior SMORE every week to stay informed with the most current and accurate updates.

We encourage all families to review this information carefully and plan ahead, as ticket and parking availability are limited.

If you have any questions, please contact the school office.

PBIS: No Go List and Student Account Remminders PBIS: No Go List and Student Account Remminders

Great Oak High School is committed to supporting positive student behavior and accountability. As part of our PBIS system, we want to remind families about the expectations surrounding detention hours and the NO GO List.

Students who accumulate 8 or more hours of detention—due to tardies, single-period truancies, and/or disciplinary actions—are placed on the NO GO List. When a student is on this list, their school account is locked, which restricts them from making purchases at bookkeeping and on the webstore. This includes items such as dance tickets, parking permits and GRADUATION TICKETS! Additionally, students on the NO GO List are not permitted to attend school events, including WSB activities and athletic contests. For student-athletes, this also means they cannot leave school early for away games!

Students can be removed from the NO GO List by reducing their detention hours to below 8 hours. Opportunities to serve detention include:

  • Before School: 7:50–8:20 AM (Room 306)

  • Lunch: Room 306

  • Saturday School: Counts for 4 hours

We encourage families to partner with us in helping students take advantage of these opportunities to clear their hours, regain privileges, and stay engaged in the full school experience.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our PBIS Coordinator, Mr. Morton.
