Chatham Alum and Muay Thai fighter, Brian Bogue, visits MRHS Chatham Alum and Muay Thai fighter, Brian Bogue, visits MRHS

Many thanks to Chatham High School graduate, Brian Bogue, who was kind enough to visit Mrs. Doyle's Jawsome to talk about his rise from a bullied pre-adolescent to a World Champion Muay Thai fighter. Brian is now retired from fighting but has become a teacher, coach, and owner of his own Muay Thai studio in Rhode Island. Some of our Monomoy students are studying Muay Thai here on the Cape, so they truly enjoyed Brian's visit and hearing his transcendent story.

Wood visits Journalism Class Wood visits Journalism Class

The Journalism students had the opportunity to discuss what makes news newsworthy with Tim Wood, Editor of the Cape Cod Chronicle. Mr. Wood visited the class on Friday, February 14 to share his experiences working at our local newspaper for over 30 years. The Chronicle is in its 50th year as an independent newspaper and notably covers the towns of Chatham, Harwich, Orleans, and Brewster. Students asked questions about the paper and reporting. MRHS thanks Mr. Wood for taking the time to share his expertise with our budding reporters.

Intern of the Week Intern of the Week

Daisy Weinberg

What I love about my internship at La Bella is being a part of a new women-owned local business. La Bella is a med spa/skin bar that currently has two locations, Chatham being its newest! I have learned so much about the behind-the-scenes of running a small business and all of the fun things that go into it. My role working at the desk as well as contributing to the marketing aspect of the business has helped me with communication and creative thinking skills. I am so grateful to have this experience and to have gained many role models from it!
