Bluff Monthly Update-November
November 1, 2026
As we welcome November at Bluff Elementary, we are reminded that every day of learning matters! With a shorter school month filled with holidays, celebrations, and time with family, it is especially important that students make the most of each day they are here. Regular attendance helps students stay connected to their classmates, build important relationships, and continue making academic progress. Even missing just a few days can add up and create challenges for students as they work to keep up with classroom learning. We encourage families to make attendance a priority and help students be at school, on time, and ready to learn whenever possible. Thank you for partnering with us to make every day count at Bluff! We are so thankful for our amazing Bluff families and the continued support you provide.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Cooley

Attendance!
At the end of the 1st quarter, our 5th graders were the winners of the most days of over 95% attendance! They celebrated with cookies! We are so proud of them for showing up at school as much as possible. We recently had popcorn parties with Mrs. Mulholland's class and Ms. Eyskens class since they have 30 days of perfect attendance in their classes. There is a lot to celebrate.
Just a reminder that at 5 days missed, you will receive a call to let you know. At 7 days, you will receive a letter. At 9-11 days of UNEXCUSED absences, we will be having a School Engagement Meeting, where the school and families come around the table to discuss a plan to increase attendance. Remember that the meeting ONLY happens when they have unexcused absences. We DO understand that kids get sick and that is totally ok. We just need to keep the number of days in check.
Watch our Facebook page for weekly updates on attendance to see which grade levels are winning!
