COVID-19 Protocol Update
The State of Illinois’ Public Health Emergency Declaration – which dates back to the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March of 2020 – will officially end on Thursday, May 11. This will result in the expiration of Naperville 203’s COVID-19-related protocols on Friday, May 12.
As always, we encourage families to keep students home if they are sick. Students who have been ill should remain home until they are no longer contagious, have not vomited and have been fever free for 24 hours.
Families looking for further guidance may choose to follow the CDC’s COVID-19 Prevention Actions.
Beebe Elementary' s New Outdoor Classroom
What began as a dream in 2018, came to fruition at a ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday with help along the way from a committee of staff, parents, Home & School, Scott & Amy Amundsen, Hitchcock Architect, and Naperville 203 Building & Grounds. The new outdoor classroom features an unique Bobcat Reading Nook, and as Principal O'Neil said "Our hope is that this space is used to innovate and explore who we are as learners and open the space up for community opportunities."
FRIDAY: Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month
All members of the Naperville 203 community are welcome to come together to learn and celebrate the contributions and achievements of the AAPI community tomorrow, Friday, May 12, from 6-8 p.m. at Kennedy Junior High
SATURDAY: Naperville North To Host 'A Pint For Kim' Blood Drive
A Pint For Kim, a national grassroots movement created in 2020 in honor of a Naperville mom who lost her eight-year battle with a rare cancer, is hosting its largest annual blood drive this Satuday at Naperville North High School from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
The drive was set up three years ago following the passing of Kimberley Benedyk Sandford, who suffered from chemo-induced anemia and required more than forty blood transfusions in her final months of life. Those donations gave her precious time to spend with her family, and to say goodbye to her husband and two young sons.
