Lutherville Lab Report
What's gone down & what's coming up at the leopards' lair.
May 9, 2025
Lutherville Families,
We had another FULL week at The Lab! This week we celebrated our incredible teachers and staff. Thank you to our PTA partners, collaboratively, we were able to shower our team with gratitude, gifts, snacks, and meals all week long. On Thursday we enjoyed a visit from Dr. Jones, Chief of Schools, who was so impressed with the joy, creativity, and community on display here at Lutherville. She praised the work of our SEL program and the progress we've made as a school to be a leader in inclusion and meeting students needs. She shared she wishes she could start every day with a visit to Lutherville.
This week we also celebrated the close of this academic year's partnerships with our post-secondary partners, as their semesters end. At Lutherville we have worked hard to cultivate and enjoy partnerships with Towson math Interns, Towson Kindergarten field experience placements, Goucher college tutors, and Loyola University full-time teaching interns. Thursday evening some of our staff celebrated the Loyola Partnership and we are glad to share that Amy Feltman was recognized as Loyola's Mentor Teacher of the Year.
State Testing continues. Please continue to have students charge devices nightly, get a good night's sleep, and encourage their best effort.
Staff Mentors and Loyola Interns Celebrate another successful year of collaboration!

Memorial for Bailee and Serenity
A team of staff close to Bailee and Serenity has determined a plan to honor the girls here at school. We will be purchasing two memorial bells to install in the Learning Garden - one in the shape of a butterfly and one in the shape of a flower. We will order them in turquoise and indigo as pictured, which align their beloved character Stitch. We'll pair the bells with a plaque and present the intended memorial, gifts, and remembrances to the families during the lunch break on Intermediate Sports Day, May 23rd.
The bells are all-weather and built to last, which also means they're quite costly and the plan comes in at ~$4000.00. As a school we are able to absorb most of that cost, but need and would appreciate support from the community from those who are able and would like to contribute. To offer more options in donations, the PTA is collecting the funds, which can be donated as a check make out to "Lutherville Lab PTA" or cash in an envelope with "Memorial" on it turned into the PTA box in the office, or online through the PTA Givebacks site (please note there is a small proportional fee that accompanies the online option).
We look forward to offering this opportunity to celebrate the girls to their families, peace and closure to our students, and remembrance of their bright and cheerful spirits to future Lutherville students through the memorial in the garden for years to come.
