We Bought A Boat! We Bought A Boat!

The club owned Dyna-ski boat (aka the "old triple") has been in need of repairs. This boat was built in 2012 with a wood transom. Unfortunately, the transom has begun rotting and we have been cautioned to no longer use this boat for pulling large lines/pyramids or going over 20mph until repairs are made. At the September board meeting the board discussed the necessary repairs to the boat but also were presented with the option of purchasing a newer 2020 all fiberglass Dyna-Ski boat from another ski team. After evaluating the cost and long term needs of the club, the board approved the purchase of the 2020 Dyna-ski boat. The boat has been transported and is now in our possession and will be ready to support the club for next year.

2026 Fundraising and Volunteer Requirements 2026 Fundraising and Volunteer Requirements

Fundraising Requirements

Why We Do It: As a non-profit, we solely rely on dues and sponsorships to keep the club running. That includes boats, equipment, boat and equipment repairs, gas, costumes, etc. As you know fuel prices have increased over the past few years, we have grown membership (more members = more equipment) and we have two triple rig boats to maintain. All great news, but in saying that, we have expected expense increases over $15,000. In trying to keep fees for families like what they have been in years past, we instead are trying to raise this money through fundraising. As a commitment for 2026, we will continue to require our members fulfill mandatory fundraising commitments.

Your Commitment: 2 Fundraising Credits Earned per family OR Securing one corporate sponsorship at a level of $250 or more.

How You Fulfill Your Commitment: Imo’s Card Sales, Raffle Ticket Sales, Super Bowl Square Sales, Donation of Auction Item that generates a minimum dollar amount, company matches or securing a corporate sponsorship.

A Note: There is an option during registration to pay $250 to buyout of this mandatory requirement.

Volunteer Requirements

Why We Do It: Historically we have always required volunteer hours by our members. As a community club, we have always relied on our members to support our initiatives and we rely on the honesty and integrity of each member to contribute. Due to the incredible growth we've experienced over the years, we will continue requiring volunteer commitments.

Your Commitment: 1 Volunteer Shift at club activities, 1 Community Volunteer Activity, and 1 Child Volunteer Activity per child registered to a family (including "children" 18+ included on a family's membership).

Examples of How You Fulfill Your Club Volunteer Commitment: Working at a Ski Team Fundraising Event or Activity. Buying tickets to these events does not count towards your volunteer or fundraising requirements. The representatives from your family are expected to show up for the entire shift as specified by the activity/volunteer director.

Examples of How You Fulfill Your Community Commitment: Clean Stream, Polar Plunge, Missouri Disabled Water Ski, Pineapple Head Food Foundation, etc.

Examples of How You Fulfill Your Children's Volunteer Commitment: Beach cleanups before shows, after storms, or after events (as advertised by the club). Other maintenance opportunities may exist for older children (i.e. bleacher, jump, shed, or trailer maintenance).
