Supporting Bulldog Best Behaviors
Dear Sarah Adams Families,
Happy New Year! We had a great first day back with our students, although it was a bit wet and snowy! This morning students and staff reviewed Bulldog Best expectations; specifically ways to be Respectful, Responsible, Safe and Kind in all areas of the building. Students attended an assembly where expectations were reviewed, and even practiced how to be Respectful, Responsible, Safe and Kind in the hallways, bathrooms and in their classrooms.
As a way to support and promote Bulldog Best behavior, we are introducing student stamp cards and class tally marks- a way where everyone can be recognized for their great efforts. Students can receive stamps on an individual card when they show their Bulldog Best. Completed cards can be exchanged for a prize of their choice, such as an opportunity to sit with their friend for the day, use their teacher's chair, lunch with Ms. Conway, recess with Mr. Herlocker, or a tangible item such as an eraser or keychain. Stamp cards stay at school. As a class, students can work together to earn tallys. Once they hit a benchmark of tallys (25, 50, 75, etc.) the class will earn a celebration such as a class dance party, extra recess, a game day, and more!
Our goal is to positively support all our students showing Respectful, Responsible, Safe and Kind behaviors throughout the building. We are excited to show our Bulldog Best and to recognize the outstanding efforts by our students!
Sincerely,
Colleen Conway
