December 2025
Message from the Directors
Dear Legacy Families,
We hope you and your loved ones enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving break. It’s always a gift to pause, recharge, and reflect before we head into the hustle of the holiday season.
Legacy Campus has been a busy place lately - filled with hands-on learning, large-scale events, and the dust of our ongoing construction work. A significant milestone for us was the groundbreaking of Phase II — the next phase of our campus expansion. This marks the start of exciting new programs and spaces that will enrich our students' experiences for years to come. We are so grateful to everyone who has supported this vision and helped make it a reality.
I’m also thrilled to remind you that this Thursday, December 4th, we will host our Showcase Night — a special evening where current families can celebrate our students’ hard work and achievements while prospective families get a first-hand glimpse of what makes Legacy Campus such a vibrant and relevant community. Whether you’re new or well-established here, I hope you’ll join us and share in the pride and joy of this occasion.
As we savor the final weeks of this calendar year, a friendly reminder that finals week begins next Monday, December 15. Please take a look at the schedule below and help ensure your student is well-prepared, rested, and ready to finish strong.
Thank you for your continued partnership — for trusting us with your student’s growth and for being part of the Legacy Campus family. I look forward to seeing many of you on Thursday evening, and to celebrating all that’s ahead as we move into the next phase together.
Spotlights
Phase II Groundbreaking - November 13, 2025
"As we break ground on Phase II, we’re not just expanding a building; we’re expanding opportunity, possibility, and hope for every student who will walk these halls. In the musical Hamilton, there’s a line that asks: “Legacy? What is a legacy? It’s planting seeds in a garden you never get to see.”
That’s what this moment represents. Each brick, each partnership, each class, and each dream nurtured here is a seed; one that will grow long after we’re gone, in the lives and futures of our students. What we build today will shape tomorrow." -Director Dr. Rex Corr
CNA Field Trip
Our CNA students had an awesome field trip today to the CU College of Nursing! They explored the Simulation Lab, heard from current BSN students, and checked out the campus — total future-career/college inspiration!
A huge thank you to the amazing CU nursing staff and students for welcoming us, sharing their experiences, and giving our students such an unforgettable day.
Reminders

2026-2027 Application Information
Steps to Apply:
Prior to registering, do your homework…
Read through this guide, check out the FAQ on our website, attend a tour, come to the Legacy Showcase night, etc.
- Attend the Legacy Campus Registration & Showcase Night Thursday, December 4, 2025.
- Meet with your primary high school counselor to discuss your interest in a Legacy Campus pathway.
- Request the courses you desire through Infinite Campus. This will be done as a part of your normal high school registration for next year’s classes. You will need to search through the list of offerings and select the appropriate Legacy pathway title placeholder and add it to your requests. Full directions with step-by-step screenshots will be available on the Legacy Campus website in January. Deadline to request pathway in IC is Friday, February 6, 2026.
- You’re not done yet! Important! In addition to your pathway request in IC, all Legacy Campus classes require an application that is specific to the pathway you choose. Go to our website at www.legacycampus.org and complete a student application for the specific pathway you are requesting. All applications are due by Friday, February 27, 2026.
- Your primary high school counselor will complete a recommendation form to verify your eligibility. Please let them know you’ve applied.
- Spots are not guaranteed. Some pathways will have a waitlist. Once accepted, your Legacy counselor will place you on a roster. At that point, it’s official! We will email all students a congratulatory email once we’ve rostered you.
- There will be a mandatory orientation night in late April where you will sign up for your college credit and make sure you have all the necessary information for next year’s classes (textbooks, uniforms, etc.).
- Classes begin at the start of the school year in alignment with your primary high school start dates. Our full calendar will be posted online.
- Attend the DCSD Legacy Campus Check-In in August and look for emails from your teacher with important information.
For more information, details, and resources, please utilize www.LegacyCampus.org.
IMPORTANT - Semester 1 Finals Schedule
Students attending the DCSD Legacy Campus will follow our typical bell schedule during finals week (regardless of the final exam schedule at their primary high school). ALL students will have two days of finals and must complete both sessions.
The first class (M or T) will be held IN-PERSON. The second part of the final will be submitted digitally during ASYNCHRONOUS classes (W or Th) to allow students to take finals at their high school.
DCSD-provided van transportation to and from the Legacy Campus will run on normal route times on Monday 12/15 and Tuesday 12/16. There will not be transportation on W/Th/F.
IF students need to make up a portion of their final exams at the DCSD Legacy Campus due to illness or other excused absences, they can schedule a time on Wednesday 12/17 or Thursday 12/18. Arrangements need to be made with classroom teachers.
Donations for Finals Week
Thank you to all the parents who have contributed to our Cookies & Cocoa event! We will have goodies available in the lobby for students to pick up on in-person final days.
If you would still like to contribute, shop the Amazon wishlist HERE. Delivery is needed by Dec 12th please.
Thank you for your help!
Tree Decorating Contest
Win donuts for finals by creatively decorating your Pathway Tree with items used in your industry! Things like wire, spatulas, kids books, drafting tools, airplanes, etc! Bring items to decorate your tree when we return from break, the week of Dec. 1st.
Judging will begin Dec. 4th thru Dec. 12th.
Delayed Start Schedule
As the cold weather moves in we have an increased chance of a 90-minute delayed start. Please be aware of the following schedules that we will follow if DCSD calls for a delay. Since classes are held in a DCSD building, please disregard any notifications you may get of college/university closures that will not affect our schedule. For more information visit LegacyCampus.org
