🧥 Lost Something? Check Our Lost and Found! 🧤

Our Lost and Found at Mabel Rush Elementary is filling up! We have a growing collection of jackets, sweatshirts, water bottles, and other items that are waiting to be reunited with their owners.

We encourage all families to take a few minutes to check the Lost and Found for any belongings your child may be missing. You might be surprised at what you find!

Please remind your child to look through the Lost and Found during the school day. Families are also welcome to stop by and check for missing items.

A helpful reminder: Labeling your child’s jackets, sweatshirts, lunch boxes, and water bottles with their name makes it much easier for us to return lost items.

Thank you for helping us get these belongings back to their owners!

Mabel Rush Elementary invites Veterans associated with Mabel Rush to join us for a special Veterans Day assembly on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.

This assembly is an opportunity for our students and staff to recognize and honor the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. We look forward to coming together as a school community to express our appreciation for their service and sacrifice.

Help Us Honor the Veterans in Our Families!

As part of our celebration, we will share a special slideshow featuring photographs of veterans who are family members of our Mabel Rush students and staff.

We invite families to submit photographs of their loved ones who have served or are currently serving in the military. These photos will help our students make a personal connection to Veterans Day and recognize the service of those within our own school community.

Newberg-Dundee Public Schools is inviting parents, guardians, and community members to participate in upcoming listening sessions regarding the district’s proposed restructuring plan.

These meetings will provide an opportunity to learn about the goals and timeline of the proposed restructuring, ask questions, and share feedback directly with school board members and district leadership.

Listening Session Schedule

All meetings will take place from 6:00–7:00 p.m.

• Thursday, October 29 – Edwards Elementary
• Monday, November 2 – Mabel Rush Elementary
• Tuesday, November 3 – Ewing Young Elementary
• Wednesday, November 4 – Mountain View Middle School

• Thursday, November 12 – Chehalem Valley Middle School

Families and community members are welcome to attend any session, regardless of their home school. Spanish translation will be available at all meetings.

Community feedback is an important part of this process. We encourage families to attend, ask questions, and share their perspectives as the district plans for the future of our schools and students.

Mabel Rush Food Pantry

Requests for access to our Food Pantry and Meal Bags Program can be made by contacting Jennifer Sciolino-Moore or Monica Skaggs in the Mabel Rush school office.

Families are welcome to call us at 503-554-4450 or simply stop by the school. When you arrive, check in at the front office, and Monica or Jennifer will be happy to help you access the pantry and available resources.
